Surrey with all due respect Carlton did not tank this year.

Or last year as well.

lala land.

I believe we have some real talent on our list and it'll be even better after this draft. It's how they're used and developed that's the problem imo.

I think we'll do ok next year. And I think we'll get a surprise scalp at some stage during the season. Maybe a top four team that nobody will give us any sort of hope against. I'd be surprised if we won only four games. The list will get better after the draft, and the development will come when the new coach is in place (as I firmly believe will happen at some stage of next season)

Jars you mentioned hawthorn and promoting the youth to keep/increase memberships - are you aware that their membership dropped this year?

Yes, but membership did not plummet by 95% though did it? They are still alive aren't they?

... and they have a bright future, their 2006 is going to be seen as similar to our 2008.

As you can see from the above I have been doing my best to try and formulate a way for Carlton to survive in 2008 if we can't win more than 4 games in 2007. It simply cannot be done!

To put it into simple equation form:

4 WINS OR LESS IN 2007 = NO CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB IN 2008

HOW DO WE GO FROM SPOON TO PREMIERSHIP CONTENDER IN ONE YEAR??

I tell you what. I'll answer your little question if you can find me one example of where I've said you can go from spoon to premiership contender in one year. Happy hunting!

Carlton God
Lets win 6 games in 2007 or there will be no CFC in 2008!

So you find were I have said I WANT to win 6 games. I want us to win 25.

Are you going to answer the 2nd question, when will we have enough spoons?

Cause if we win the next 5 in a row we may get some more PP's

CFC 5 year plan

2005 > Priority Pick (Midfielder) no.1 pick (key forward) = tick.
2006 > no.1 pick (midfielder) Priority pick (midfielder) = tick.
2007 > Priority Pick (Ruckman) no.1 pick (midfielder) = ?
2008 > Priority Pick (KP defender) & no.1 pick (midfielder) = ?
2009 = Premiership with all those no.1 & priority picks.

What club ... what a powerhouse ... what a proud supporter base ...

We will have serious competition for the spoon next year between Lions, North and Bombers. I'm tipping at least 6 wins for us, more than likely 8.

My money would be on 2x Essendon*, North (possibly x2 depending on the draw), Brisbane (Especially if we're at home), and snag a couple of wins against maybe Hawthorn, Richmond, Geelong, and possibly Collingwood late in the season.

Pffft the premiership is so yesterday.......let the interstaters, who predictably are well behind the times, fight it out for premierships. Any fool knows that these days it's all about Draft Picks. Next year we're up for the 'three-peat'!!! of #1's Go Blues!!!

Its simply a matter of confidence and injuries. We can beat anyone on our day in Melbourne with a full team in. I'm confident we can knock off Collingwood, Essendon*, North, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Richmond and Brisbane. If we play a couple of these teams twice and double up that is eight wins.

The concern I have is we lost 2-3 games this year from poor coaching IMO, buts that is another story already with a million threads on it.
