My worry is though that Hughes will cop a slap in the face next week. I just think that if Pagan has no time for Russell (as has been reported here on several occasions), that we will see the back of JR in trade week.

It won't look good to lose a first round pick so quickly for Wayne Hughes. We'll have to hope that Raso, Blackers, and Hartlett can make him look pretty good from that 2004 draft.

How do you know Wayne Hughes isn't telling Pagan that we will get something better in the draft if Port gave us pick 23?

How do you know that Pagan isn't the one against trading Russell coz he needs wins next year to keep his job and losing someone about to enter their third year of football would be detremental to that?

Just more fantastic guess work from the Talking Carlton faithful. It's all anti-Pagan anti-Smorgan at the moment. In six months it will be something else.
