Let's not go over old ground please boys.

While I'd love to know what Denis said to Ryan, I'm more interested to hear that he took the time to contact one person who took the time to put pen to paper.

He was under no obligation to do that.

That pretty much sums up why i decided to thank him publicly.

Thanks Mrs Caz.

A few years ago my then manager was appointed CEO of a football club. Months later he visited us - and of course we were asking him what it was like.

He mentioned the abusive emails he'd receive the Monday after losses. He also told us that he'd call a few of those people. Just so that they know that the club takes them seriously and to placate them.

So it does happen......

Well done to Denis for calling and thanks for letting us know Ryan. Would obviously love to know the details but c'est la vie.....

marciblue - have more faith in your club rather than faith in the media and it's reports

london, the only outcome i will be happy to accept from this whole Thronton saga is if the club manage to sign him up prior to the PSD and he plays for Carlton. If this ridiculous approach by the club of closing communication channels down with other clubs during trade week achieves this outcome with Bret then I will yield and not criticise. But if all it achieves is us having to play hard ball and picking Bret up with our no.1 pick in the PSD then im sorry we are an absolute disgrace.

at least they're talking to the power so its a start. given DP doesn't have much time for Jordan then it is no surprise that he is keen to talk about trading him
