Bad luck Juzzy... well done Flinty!!

Eight changes to the primary list is about right I reckon. So we have:

French - PSD Pick 1 (Ackland)
Prendergast - Rookie Promotion (Flint)
Sporn - ND Pick 1 (Gibbs)
Longmuir - ND Pick 17
Livingston - ND Pick 19
McGrath - ND Pick 35
Chambers - ND Pick 51
Davies - ND Pick 67

We are still allowed more than 1 pick in the PSD.

We should know all the delisted players by draft time, and even then there maybe a couple more dropped to make room for another player in the PSD. Problem with that we have committed PSD 1 and our next pick would be 17 (assuming all clubs participate)

Great stuff Flint. I thought he was ahead of Bower when he was injured. His elevation implies to me that Hansen wont be picked. So it's out of Gibbs and Leuey, and probably Gibbs now that Jackson hasn't been promoted.

We need ruckmen and the spine sorted...and the midfield.

If we take Gibbs and don't take Leuey, then pick 17 Renouf and pick 10 for N. Brown for me.

Where's that 2002 PP?

fantastic news regarding flint.

i'm a big fan.

bit surprised he got the nod over jacko, but i'm sure we will see more of him.

also happy davies is off the list, as we would have just been carrying another player IMO.

unfortunatley he couldn't deliver on his potential.

i have a feeling thats all the delistings we will see. unless archie retires.

still feel a bit sorry for mcgrath, obviosuly not considered part of future plans.

6 picks is good. Hoping for 7 before the next cut off date.

Suprised Jacko wasn't promoted, not sure why he wouldn't be?

Good luck to the Ben Hart clone.

Good luck to the boys who didn't make the cut.

Isnt Jackson the nominated Rookie which makes him available for senior selection? Could someone confirm or deny that?

I thought he was that last year as well? or a rookie was allowed to be promoted at any time as Kouta was the only Veteran?

No one's a nominated rookie... but someone can become one if we have a free spot on the senior list after all the drafts... if we so wish.

A lot of water to go under the bridge but.

The nomination, if we do nominate one, has to be done prior to round 1 of the 2007 season. I do not believe CFC named a nominated rookie for the 2006 season.

Sad to see the end of Juzzy (even tho I agree with the delisting). Always had high hopes for him. Best of luck with the back Justin. Thanks a million for those collingwood games!

Congrats to Flinty for the promotion! :-D A lot of gaps in our defence that need filling.... we need you to step up next year Craig.

The club declined to nominate a rookie in 06 for financail reasons I believe. It stands to reason that we will nominate one this year, and that if we do it will probably be Jackson.

No reason why it would have to be though. Someone we rookie this year may have trained the house down and lit up a few practice matches by round 1. It is a super draft afterall, so good move by the club to hedge it's bets a little I say.

Good! Now we just need to get rid of one of our battery of 'quasi-ruckmen' and my thirst for delistings will be quenched for 2006.

In 2007 the clean out will be complete (6 or 7 more who have no future).

Then - after 6 long years - we will have....... A LIST TO WORK WITH.

If we win 4 or less next year - it will be a list that can really win a flag in 2010, 2011.

Maybe Voss needs to remain on Brisbane's list for the IR games?

Jim I thought as part of the arrangement for keeping Voss' 2007 payments in 2007 the Lions needed to keep that spot on the list full and with the name m.Voss next to it. As a minimum, the Lions were not allowed to fill his spot so potentially there is no benefit at all to removing his name?

Leaves the door open for something like a finals return if (heaven forbid) they make it, doesn't it?

Good Stuff, Flint is Promoted, bad luck for Justin Davies, thought he would have 1 more year as he is still young, that could still be turned around, maybe his back was in real bad shape, can't keep someone on the list if he wont play for another year.

Seen a couple of players at the cox plate and they confirmed that Bryan bannister and davies have all survived the cut. No comfirmation on any rookie elevation, although it seems that flint jackson and assaike will all remain on the rookie list for now. Also mentioned that Jesse Smith has been asked to continue training with the club. They were not sure whether smith will take up the offer, as he felt that the club did him no favours, The players that I spoke to were really pissed off that the club delisted jesse, seemed to be really popular amongst the group. Anyway they did seem exited about the new season ahead. Maybe smith will be picked up thru the draft or rookie listed again, or they feel guilty about the way they treated him.
