I have to bite my tongue when I even listen to Denis Pagan's explanation of our midfield. :?

But what else can a man say?

At least he sticks by his players.

Whats money got to do with it? Swap Stevens and Campo with Cousins and Judd, who are on the same money and we'll still be dead last. Its not the quality of our better players thats keeping us down, its the fact we don't have enough of them.

But wed have enough left over to target Jonathon Brown too...

If the money makes no difference why not pay Campo another 650k again next year... and keep Lance on 550??

Moneys nothing ... thats right..

Im with you.... !!!... uh huh... geeez we have some BRAINY people here...

You reckon that Campo and Stevens should get the same money as Cousins and Judd on perfomance do you???

Or are you saying if Campo and Stevens played for WC instead of here .. Campo would suddenly be a good player...

Campo hasnt been a good player in yearsssssssssssssss... hes been an average player on a heap of money burning a hole in our pocket (hte clubs) and giving me the shits with his unsatisfactory displays as a player and a leader of this club.

very good point and very well said...but once again Johnny and the old board persisted with their outrageous longterm contracts that have [REDACTED] us over for years...

If Judd and Cousins played at Carlton in place of Stevens and Campo they wouldn't be performing anywhere near as good and they would be copping a kickin from half the people here because they can't carry an aweful football team.

Pagan is very honest.. you just have to read between the lines.
If you cant do that he doesnt come across as much chop... till the end of the season that is..

Id like to know from Campo supporters .. what does Campo actually do thats first class...

cos he is getting paid first class wages and has been for a long time..

Is it his in and under work??
Running the lines?
Delivery?
Leadership?
.. maybe its the defensive dimmension he adds to the team?

Like what part of Campos game do you believe that Campo would be in the top 20% of the AFL in???
(Running past players who have WON the ball for a handball receive doesnt count)

I bet youll rack your brains and cant think of anything Campo does well...

Campo was ranked 61st in the AFL in 2004 as a playmaker.

Over 600 players in the AFL so that would be top 10%.

A playmaker is someone who INITIATES a passage of play that results in a scoring shot for their team.

Notice the word INITIATE, not a hand ball recieve, but the FIRST possession starting a passage of play that results in a score.

Judd was numer 1.

61st would make it each other clubs midfielders (4 of them from each club initiated more than Campo on average) right????

Alot of positions dont initiate play.... midfielders do.. say 4 starting midfilders at each club ...15 other clubs x 4 equals 60... and Campo comes in at 61...

yeah thats about right...

But you should cataguorise that as a bottom 5% statistic instead...
Most players dont get tap outs either...

On the contrary dear Synbad there were all types of players in that list above and below Camporeale, including key position backmen, ruckmen, forward pockets etc.

You have to stop asking questions you don't like the answers to.

Just publish it numbered and player with the stat....

It might bore someone else but it wont bore me...

Lay it out there Jarusa!!!'Pssssst.. Jarusa...????

  you hate it when I answer your questions.

The list goes to 488 (that is how many playmakers there were), and if I published it I would be sued by the company that produced them.

No they wont.. just achowledge them.,.. it happens all the time..

and for your information 61st of 488 isnt top 10%..and you didnt say 488 before you said 600.. so youre twisting and turning like a snake shedding its skin are you???

Nah go on.... show us that list.. from 1 to 488.. and games played and lets see Campo stretch back even more...

PS thought you were a responsible user of statistics...

The problem is you can make stAtistics say anything... but i know what they mean..cos im not five years old...

Now go on post the list with games etc.. dont play the little "i cant show you" child...

Will you pay all the legal fees Synbad?

Squirming around really does not suit you.

Just admit it.

Campo is good at something.

repeat it again

Campo is good at something.

Now go to the blackboard and write it 50 times.

How come you can see the stats and none of the rest of us can.. but you can use them as evidence to prove a point and we cant???

now go wear the 'Idiot hat' and stand in front of the class on one foot and your right hand on your nose till playtime...

Then come back and write on the board.. "I shall not use bullshit statistics as i run a site called Footygeek.com and i will be seen to have NO CREDIBILITY" :D ten thousand times.. which wont be 10,000 times to you as numbers mean whatever you want them to mean...
