Molsey, you can't stop others in here from saying certain posters have gone too far in laying the boots into Camporeale, or any player for that matter. It's the nature of online communication. Anyhow, I am firmly in the anti-Camporeale faction like you seem to be. What he has done is wrong.

Exactly. Hope I wasn't read that way - people take being kicked in the guts differently. It's all just personal opinion and that's what this place is for.

rofl. danny..

I dont begrudge Campo the money that he got from the club we offered the contract and he accepted so the 400-600 of whatever the actual amount not his problem CFC was responsible for that.

I felt he didnt lead from the front in his actions and btw he isnt alone there. Campo dropped the ball after SOS Bradley and co retired and he was the vc/next senior player in line he should have stepped up.

I dont care if he is considered to be a down hill skier every team needs someone to skirt the packs. We cant have 5 inside midfielders and no outsides or we would have been worse than we already were.

My reading between the lines of the junk in the paper

Firstly, club is losing and I cant take it anymore so im gonna look for greener pastures. Not try and give back to the club that took me as a 20yr old.

Secondly, if money wasnt the issue or the period of the contract and he just wanted out of the club why didnt he have the balls to tell the mgt and his manager that?

Thirdly and this isnt in the paper why after 10 yrs is he willing to play this hand and walk away from the club and not ensure that his benefactor (club)recieved some kind of compensation from bombres.

Kouta is our leader. He needs to project positiveness, excitement, etc about our club. What we don’t need is half arsed comments which project negativity. Kouta needs to steer the ship forwards, seize the moment. Any reference to Campo is doomed…….so forget about the F***er.

Exactly.. how is it Kouta's fault that for some unexplained reason Campo still sits on our list.. How is he meant to avoid questions about Campo when the CLUB hasnt cut him loose so we can move on..

Here is the quote of what he said, from the article:
Quote:
"There's always that little bit of hope, isn't there, that he will return," Koutoufides said.

"It's up to Scott now. But he'll make the right decision. All I know is that he's been a great mate and a great player for the Carlton Football Club."

That's around 30 words there, guys.. Pretty much exactly what Denis has been saying on the news for the past few weeks as well, except it's harder for Kouta because he's a media personality and can't just dismiss Journo's like Denis does..

No matter what he said, an article would have been made of it. As i said in my last post (this one wasnt really necessary, to be honest), I'd much prefer to read that tiny article than a spread on Campo/Carlton's bitter feud.. Someone said something about positivity around the club.. How positive would it be if Kouta had have come out talking about how everyone at the club is spitting on Campo's picture on the wall?

How positive is that?

I can't believe the hypocrisy of some in this thread..

Both at fault imo. As I said earlier in this thread Kouta should've been smarter in his response.

"Its up to Scot now...."
What kind of a dumb comment is that????

Scotty Cancereale made his choice when he waited in the carpark with his Essendon* jumper at hand...What dooes he mean its up to Scot now????
Is that the kind of germ we want aroiund our kids???

MEMO TO KOUTA.... its not up to Scot now.. !!!.. if we even took him now because maybe other clubs have gone cold it would be a huge slap in the face to the club, the players(except one or two of Cancer's mates)... the CEO.. the coach.. the supporters and we will have continued to slide further into the bowels of ridicule...

What he just said in that interview.. WHICH OF COURSE becomes a headline.. and you could see it would a mile away.. unless you lived in lala land.. (Like Kouta).. is just a negative in a long series of negatives at a time the club can least afford that kind of HEADLINE.
Dumb Kouta just gave Campo more weight than he deserves to the detriment of this footy club.

Thats not leadership.....!!!!!!!

If they keep Campo on the list i will seriously consider not renewing my membership and i have been a member since 1992.

Even if they offered him just $70,000 a year i wouldn't want him on the list.

Adios Amigos - you have made your money out of the club ( a club which loses money year after year) There are only so many times the club can play your fool.

Anyway - he couldn't fit into the cap anyway. Lets say he was on 400k - we have signed up saddington and mclaren - both of whom must come close to campo's total salary. So it has to be adios camporealos..

We should have delisted Camporeale and made it clear he was finished at the club instead of playing games...happy for him to train at Essendon* and help them pick him up.
Kouta needs to accept the old ways are over and that means some of his mates are finished with the club..no one tossed Campo out he wouldnt accept the terms of his new contract...its his doing.
I have never considered Kouta a great captain..great player yes but not a greta captain and the club will be better served when some of newly arrived talent takes over the leadership roles at the club.....

Does the fact the club didn't delist him mean they obviously still want him to come back?

Essendon* and Campo are doing a shifty on Collingwood.

It's detailed in AFL news in this Herald Sun article:

Wtf... why does everyone think that Kouta has made some public plea to get Campo back to the club.. he was asked a throwaway question and gave a throwaway answer..

Everyone gives Denis enough credit so that when he says "It's unfortunate that campo wont be coming back, if he doesnt" they go "ooohh he doesnt mean that, it's denis he's holding back"..

When Kouta says the same thing it's "oh what a loser Kouta is, bad person for the club I can't believe he'd actually like Campo back"..

Had it been Jarrad Waite who said it people would be up in arms over the Herald Sun's crappy journalism and how they make stories out of nothing to drag our club through the mud..

Kouta does it and HE'S the bad guy..

 This place is ridiculous sometimes

I doubt the Pies will take him but they're having fun watching him squirm.
I think its good he'll be nominating a figure.
Then the other 15 clubs can see what a money sucking leech he is.
