Nazis? Well that's offended a significant percentage of our supporter base.

WTF, hasn’t Sticks any minders? Is Swanny equally stupid?

Talk about mauling a brand… Yet again!

Why couldn’t they have just released the normal low key press statement – we had to let him go, loyal servant, best of luck, Bla Bla Bla.

FGS, you call press conferences for positive news! Like the signing of a new coach! Sprinkle him with confetti and trot him out as the face of next year. Get everyone excited and member numbers soaring.

But no, this idiot had to air all our dirty laundry - so he could somehow convey how bad he feels.

F&&k the club, Sticks image as the loyal mate is far far more important!

Sticks is a fool, the board is clueless and this fantastic list of number ones's will be left to dribble away, dissipating into the ether – no guidance, no flags, no hope…

Great post! We're completely rudderless. We can only hope Swann lifts with Malthouse around and someone saves us from Sticks...please.

In the past week, we've had four classic President Sticks moments. Trying to figure out which one scares me the most.

Moment One:
When Sticks said that we have to concentrate on the now, while Juddy is still playing. This kinda worries me, because it seems to suggest that he doesn't really grasp the idea that you can win premierships by building a strong culture and environment and you know - 'plan' for sustained success... instead, it's all about assembling champion players, like it was in the old days. Three No.1's + Judd + Malthouse = flag. Yay.

Moment Two:
When Sticks called Ken Wood a Nazi... in a prepared Presidential speech. Pretty much sums up the intellectual rigour and polish he brings to the job.

Moment Three:
When Sticks openly stated that it was someone else's decision to sack Brittain, and Pagan. Not his. No way. Being Vice President of the club at the time, not to mention the key football person on the Board, obviously means nothing. Just what the hell does this guy do at the club anyway, that couldn't be done by an out of work actor in a mascot suit??

Moment Four:
When he finally dropped the 'reluctant' schtick, and told us that he's here to stay until 2014 because the members want him there.

Probably in order of scariest to least-scary: 1, 4, 3, 2.

What's really scary John is how a guy could be so involved with failure for 15 years or so yet still be where he is....in fact that he has climbed his way up on the back of failures is a major indictment on the club and all who support him....

There was also the bit where the journo asked him if we'd have sacked Ratts if Mick Malthouse wasn't available

....and he paused

and paused....

As good as Ratts has been this week, Sticks has been as bad. Has really looked out of depth under very intense circumstances, and has shown that he lacks the profesisonalism for such a position. It reflects badly on the club, and makes us look like amateurs on every level. Sadly, it's hard to argue that it actually isn't.

If you turn the sound up you can hear the gears in his head ever so slowly turning.

True story. Previous to this it was singing 'Stand By Your Man' (an octave-and-a-half melody) in the key of E flat. Tammy Wynette sang it in A. That's not as easy thing to do sober, let alone pissed as a mattress. Credit where it's due Synners...credit where it's due.

Most rewarding thing about yesterday was watching the only living female life member of the club give him a fair serve pre-game.

Didn't have a response at all.

She wasn't happy how they sacked Ratts.

He's gentleman enough to let her vent unopposed.

I've no doubt her late husband would have appointed Ratts as a senior assistant. Not only that, he would have helped Sticks along the way. And our brand would be a lot better too. We're a lot poorer off as a football club without the likes of Laurie Kerr pulling the strings in the background.

Geelong early this century.
Costa and Cook came in cleaned out the club put others on notice that stayed and the rest is history.
Yeah the Thompson fiasco a few years ago was a hickup but they got Chris Scott.

But it took 5 years to right the ship.

Sticks and the board have to go.
Swann may peform better with a different board.
FAct is Malthouse isnt the saviour.
It must start from the top.

I believe this is starting to gain momemtum.

Mitchell, Fahour
Someone who can change this out of date ancient culture which is killing this club.

We chucked Elliott and his board -did results get any better - NO
We chucked out Collins and his board -did results get any better - NO
We chucked out Smorgan and his board- Did results get any better - NO
We brought in Pratt and his Board - did results get any better - NO
So now you want to chuck out Sticks and his board

If we replace Sticks that will be 6 Presidents in the space of 11 years and some how you think someone like Mitchell or Fahour is going to wave some sort of magical wand and change the fortunes of the club

The posters on this board that are bemoaning the old carlton cheque book quick fix are all looking for a quick fix
It used to be laughable reading all this now it is just tiresome and tedious
