As we all know, the salary cap cheaters dont just wear navy blue, but Carlton was the club that was quite brutally made an example of.

We took the fall and because of our very public execution (well almost) things changed and the cheating isnt now what it used to be.

A hidden side benefit known by those that set this terrible penalty though was that Carlton would no longer be the club that it was, much to the delight of many who hated us because of our success.

This hatred runs deep and even if we won 10 wooden spoons, it wouldnt be sufficient to satisfy these mad and irrational people, Fatprick for example would likely still be writing vicious and poisonous articles about us at every opportunity.

Revenge however, is a dish best served cold.

Yes things look bad right now at Carlton, but one thing we do have are many young developing players that clearly understand that they and the draft picks this year and the next will indeed be a part of a resurgent Blues, methinks probably before the end of this decade.

Once the skills of our players improves, as it will with practice, the rest will be all to do with the mindset and of player motivation.

Football is indeed played 90% above the shoulders and under the guidance of a new coach, there will be many cerebral reasons why the newly skilled players in the Carlton team of the near future will be very strongly motivated to emulate the deeds of our most famous players of the past.

When this happens, it will surprise many.

It won't surprise me! I'm not used to waiting this long for the revenge to happen that is all. But revenge, when it comes, and it will, will be so richly welcomed. And the old arrogance and the swagger, and ............

Anyway we've been the tall poppies. We've been cut down to size. We've been soaked in the weed killer of penalties and hard times. They've had a bloody good crack at transplanting us into a new trendy location with all sorts of promises of a bright future. We are surviving. Our rootstock is firm and solid and we come from the best hardened traditions despite being badly burnt in recent times. We've copped enough shit to fertilize the amazon rainforests for a millenium, so when we return watch out for a long lasting perpetual summer of success. What doesn't kill us will only serve to make us even stronger and greatly more determined to never let this happen again.

Now it is about time we garnered some support as the perpetual underdogs, and showed our blue collared attitudes of hard work and Carlton mateship. Celebrate the royal blue blood of class that courses through our very essence as a club, and through each and every one of us proud Carlton supporters.

Let the football world tremble with anticipation of the reawakening and re-emergence of The New Carlton Football Club. It will start slowly but build to a deafening crescendo with our next premierships. And no it won't only be one. A new era awaits and AD will absolutely crap himself when he realises the fury that he has unleashed that will lead to our ultimate greatest period of triumph yet.
