There's a LOT of pace going out of the side with those changes Joseph will probably survive. Gazza gave him a bath today.
Armfield beat Byrnes hands-down today, but I just reckon he panics when coming out of the backline and doesn't have the ability to boot it long when out of options. Waite runs similar lines to Armfield and can break even with a long kick when he's run too far for the leading forwards.
I'm not advocating the "boot it at every opportunity" game plan, but its a good fail safe.
It has taken over a year for the pro Browne anti Armfield supporters to realise what Army brings to the table.
You are one of the last of the anti Armfield supporters. You'll learn and change your mind when you realise what he does for the team.
Lets just start with how many goals he has saved this year running back to goal with his pace.
Then consider the value of breaking lines and taking on the opposition.
The forget about him running full pelt with no one to go to; that's not him not presenting.
That handball that didn't make the distance was a clanger.Everyone makes a clanger or 2; he's not as bad as you make out.
There is no one pushing him aside to take his position. Please refer to selections in 2009 and 2010 when Armfield has been available for selection.
Come on Crusader, look for the benefits he brings to the team....yes, you can do it! If you try.
I have need for speed, and Army gives us the speed our defense needs.
