Times are tough, and the chips are down.
We're yearning for success.
Through all the press and fights,
There's still one constant that keeps burning.
Supporters come and supporters go,
each with an opinion, each with their say.
You can't champion the good and mute the bad.
With success comes fame but with failure comes and opportunity.
An opportunity for criticism,
An opportunity for rebirth.

Age old history which makes old men smile.
Thoughts of Jezza, and Nick, and Soapy.
Harmes on the line in 79,
Or Fev from the car park at AAMI.
Now times are tough and people forget.
This club can make you forget all your troubles.
Or this club can make your troubles mutipled by 10.
In a time of need there are many detractors.
In a time of need many jump ship.
It's the supporters who stay, that show the character of the club,
It's the supporters who stay, that help resurrect.

They need our support, and we are obliged to give.
They provided success when it was what we demanded.
"The greatest team ever" was shouted from the stands.
Now cellar dwellers with our head in our hands.
They need our support, and we are obliged to give.
Cynicism and anger only hurt our club.
Through all the mess, and through all the pain,
One thing is still certain,
I STILL LOVE THE NAVY BLUE.
I always have, and i always will.

Sorry Dannyboy, just getting in on the act here....
i'm sick of all these negative comments, we have a club that has been loyal to us over many many many years, and because of 4 years of pain, we are willing to throw in the towel.

Marketing exercise or not, last night on the footy show i saw a club in trouble, MY CLUB, the club i love, and rather than knock them for it, rather than give in and say the club is a rabble, i'm going to do everything i can to support the club i love.

i expect people on TC, TBV, CSC, to do the same. Calling for blood is not helping.....

Solidarity and Support will lift this club from it's current state and surely, SURELY success will follow....

United, no-one can beat us....

Not bad, Nick.
Must admit I had a small tear in my eye listening to that report last night on TFS.

I know what you are trying to say but I love this club too much and just sit back...and wait and wait and wait for soemthing to happen...because it aint...I have missed birthdays, weddings, family gatherings shit I was even late to my engagment party in 1993 2 semi Carl V Adel Waverly Park ....Bradley 5 goals...williams finds Madden in space....Madden has a bounce another and kicks the goal of the year...

We have had great times and we have been spoilt....we are one the oldest clubs around...the most premierships...use to be the forward thinkers(eg naming rights of grounds, changing color of jumpers for a day) apart from the new clubs that have joined the AFL no otehr club have defeated us more than we have defeated them...there is reasons for this....because we use to breed success...poeple use to banging down our door...what do you think Eddie McGuire made Collingwood what they are today based on gut feels...no he looked at other successful clubs all over the world including Cartlon!!! ( yes us) to turn things round...then he sold that message when he was ready...when he had enough of seeing them unsuccessful...so yes I know there is alot of people who love the club as we all do but this can not be tolerated anymore...things have to change...we cant get any worse...Pagan there is a cancer surrounding him and there is nothing he can do about it...we cant wait another 2 or 3 years as we are losing money/members by the day...

Its time for change we need a turning point to start going forward!!!!!

I love this bloody footy club too much its killing me!!!!!!

And so do Sam Lane, Nicole Livingston and Sandra Sulley, according to today's "Sporting Life" column in "The Age" (yes, I know Geoff McClure is a Blues supporter). Unfortunately, the picture does not seem to appear on the web link. Personally, I would have preferred Sandra Sulley to have got the gig for the Blues; she is very easy on the eye

it's a shame that it has all come to this, and i must admit, i lay awake for a fair while last night staring at the ceiling thinking about how the hell we could get ourselves out of this.....fortunatley i had some mersyndol in the house so sleep was not a problem. :-D

i have faith however, that with the support of members and a show of solidarity, we will pull out of this.....we will prevail.
