Be a pity, that was a great pack mark for a goal during the 1st qtr. The guy is a terrific overhead mark for his size, one of the best I've seen. Would have a great future with a bit of a lucky break.

Same injury as Lappin earlier in the season? Was able to play following week.

I'll ask the obvious ...... :?

Grade 1 Level ... is that minor or bad?

Thanks for that Effes.

Quote:
A common injury to the AC joint is dislocation, or AC shoulder separation. This occurs often in sports like football, soccer, horseback riding, mountain biking, and biking. The dislocation is classified on a scale of 1 to 6, with 6 being the most severe.

So if the earlier report from Livo is on the money, Fish will be OK. Maybe a week or two?? Am I reading it right?

To quote myself from the other thread:

Quote:
For those who asked about Fish's shoulder, I have had some experience with AC injuries. The AC joint is where the collar bone connects into the shoulder. If he has only strained the ligaments it's probably a 3 week injury. But if he has completely dislocated the collarbone he's probably looking at 6-8 weeks. Mine took longer but I assume Fish will have access to a lot more physio than I did.

It is not a injury that requires a reconstruction though. For non-elite athletes they don't even operate any more they just leave collar bone floating around loose in there and the ligaments and muscles just adjust around it.

Level 1 is the 2-3 week injury. Level 3 is the full dislocation. And you don't want to know about level 5.

This is the second time Fev has put a team-mate out for substantial time after colliding with them in a game. IIRC he did a similar thing to Lance's shoulder in '02 with a mistimed bump (and may have even done something to him again at training the following year?).

Anyway, it's shocking luck for Brad. He was having a ripper game too.

Carlton lost Brad Fisher to a suspected fractured shoulder socket in a marking clash. Fisher was taken to hospital.

"It's not looking good at the moment. It is probably going to be a nasty one. It hasn't been assessed by the specialist yet but I think he has fractured the shoulder socket," Pagan said.

Fev was not at fault here. He had full license to go for these. It was Fish who backed back into the pack. Bad luck all round I'd say.

This is really bad luck for Fisher. Every time he looks like settling in for a nice run of games in good form seems to strike a bad luck injury, heres hoping for a quick and speedy recovery Fish, we need you.

The silver lining is it that it will mean Pagan will have no choice but to continue playing Josh Kennedy in the firsts and getting quality game time.

It shits you when you see a player like this who has busted his gut to get back from an injury to be hit down by another . From all reports the first half was the best that he had played then only to be struck down again.

If it is as serious as some suggest its another season sitting on the side lines and he has had his fair share of that so far.

I am surprised that all the Rookie watchers haven't jumped on this and usually you would be hearing a million suggestions on who and why someone should be elevated off the rookie list- but not a peep I guess it shows how low people feel about the injury to Fish.

Its been very quiet in here the last 24 hours

I came off my mountain bike and did an AC joint. Thought at the time I'd broken my collarbone as I couldn't lift my arm with serious pain. Went to the bummers doc Bruce Reid who said 10 days. Sure enough, after exactly 10 days - back to 100%. Let's hope.

He really does need to put on some size. Then he'll be the one splitting packs and doing damage.

As for Fev, he stuffed Lance's shoulder in 2002 and broke Massies leg in 2000, I think :? .

Massie's leg was due to a shitful pass from Scott Freeborn - I dont think Fev had anything to do with it.

Fisher - suspected fractured shoulder socket

If that's the case it's going to be 10 weeks for sure.
