Damn hard to go past Val and Rice in the modern era. Who did we get from the Sainters in all the years before the 60's? Did Verdon Howell come from St Kilda originally, or am I really losing it this time? ![]() |

Remember when you used to go down to Morrabin and see all those aging Carlton greats finishing out their careers, the guys that really didn't know when to retire. That was one thing Carlton was really good at in the past, getting rid of the players that were past their used by date. I think that is why St Kilda were always my next favourite team growing up, as at many times they were a second Carlton team. I mean even Hamil going there would not have been such a problem if it was at the end of his career. When did we get so sentimental with our aging greats? |
