Post subject:  Denis P pressconference highlights

Sorry if already posted - Denis's press conference highlights were as follows (nothing to revealing as perhaps expected):
fev doing super job
waite out up to 8 weeks with medial
murphy a shining light today
blackwell did a couple of good things and has 18 months development ahead of him
Mclaren did o.k
wiggins at 23 starting to live up to his potential
lappin been having a couple of shockers but did a little better today
we won't make wholesale changes (almost in same breath said we can't)..we are giving all the kids a run
can't think of what is required at the moment to get the guys up

he is certainly miffed about it all..............i guess we all are!! we don't have any solutions. some of what he says is the same old stuff and not rocket science. although he now seems a little more convinced in Wiggo.

oh me oh my :? ......did he say that?

cheers London, although listening to DP being interviewed before the games reminded me that while Denis talks, he doesn't actually say anything. I know it's a deliberate strategy, but it would be nice to hear what he really thought about things...

I reckon Wiggo was very good!!!!.. id give him an above average score for the second week straight as far as our team is concerned.

Denis is miffed... hes been saying the same thing for years.... that just tells us he doesnt have the answers...

Players can sense he doesnt .. so they dont have belief in him... they dont have belief in him so he doesnt have belief in them.. he doesnt have belief in them.. so they dont have belief in themselves...

The whole thing is simple...!!!

So we should get our people to see his people....

Simple!!!!

Lets see how long it takes for this to happen with our super duper board...

I rated Wiggo as best on ground... but of course I left at half time. I had better things to do then watch that.

Here is the greatest idea of all time, lets get synbad to run the club.He sure as shit sound like he knows how to fix it.

It's always easy to bag when things are bad,the only people who really know what the hell is going on are the people at the club.

Or we can just be like you... and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. until you forgot why youre waiting... but wait anyway ....

What happens if the people at the club (who supposedly really know what the hell is going on) are so inept at club administration that they couldn't even run a bath ??

Do we still sit on our hands and hope that it works out okay ??

I realise that you aren't comfortable with all the bagging but surely you would have to agree that we are bereft of quality leaders both on & off the field.

Sounds like we've found a way to get that extra pick in the top 20. With Fisher out and Waite out, and general fatigue and wear and tear starting to set in with our already 'thin' list, you'd have to think we're a chance not to win more than another 2 games this year.

Here's hoping they have success persuading the AFL to give us access to a pre-1st round priority pick.

Onfeild we have great leader's they just are not in power.Fev and Red even t-bird should be incharge well before kouta.

The board it stuck ,it's the old saying rock and a hard place.what we need is some youth and people who's is ego is second to the club.

anyway .....

actually thought pagan was good today, went home at 3/4 time as i wanted to insure what i was able to watch the press conference on digital.

and it wasnt too bad.

was expecting the usual rubbish coming from him, however, be that a combination of not getting asked the same questions week in week out or him being better with it all he handled the loss reasonably well.

im still not convinced that he is the right coach for us, but i thought he handled himself reasonably well tonight.

fair play to him

waite is a big loss, or is it? If there is a positive we can take out of this, i wouldnt mind seeing Setanta getting and extended run in the seniors in Waite's absence. Not as a key forward, not as number 2 forward, but as a 3rd or 4th option.

Blackwell, Kennedy, Setanta, Murphy (not that he needs it) etc.. all getting an extended run all getting invaluable experience is what this year is about, as painful as it was to watch today, seeing those kids being left on the ground was a positive in an otherwise horrible day at the football.
