With Waite going down, who do you think will be the next tall player selected as a replacement? Prenda, in a Waite role? Livo, releasing Lance to go forward? French, with DeLuca getting more ground time as a forward? Setanta, in a Waite role? For long term development, I think I'd like to see Setanta get a good stretch in the senior team (and now seems the obvious time to do it, with Fisher and Waite down). But I wonder if they'll take the risk, given that he's still struggling for form down at the Bullants. |

Chris Bryan. He can take a mark and is a big body, crash packs and for a big guy he can run pretty well. Has a BOOMING kick aswell, play him at CHF. Any rucking that needs to be done inside 50 Bryan can take, with Dilbert/Archie/French staying a kick behind play. |

Forward 50 entries are our problem, not converting, as Fev is in top form. I'd persist with Kennedy as a CHF |

Have to give hm a go, no? Plonk him 40-70 metres out and see if he can steal a few goals over the advancing floods? |

French in and De Luca will spend more time up forward. That's not what I want to see that's what I think will happen. ![]() |

if bryan is not brought in i really struggle to see if we are actually trying to win games....we have now lost two talls from the forward line and have a kid who has played three games taking the number 2 defender....i dont care how good he is GOING to be, he doesnt have the runs on the board to take number 2 without getting towelled up....bring in bryan and leave him at CHF...even if kennedy starts with number 2, bryan will demand that number 2 is shifted to him by 1/4 time. |

Exactly, espeically with Deluca taking a 6 foot player who is moderately OK above his head. Deluca doesnt attract tall defenders have you noticed? |

It's almost too logical, isn't it? We have this bloke who can kick the ball a fuggen mile, yet he wastes away in the seconds. BRING HIM IN |

Has Bryan really showed anything at all (besides being able to kick a long way) to show he is capable of playing at CHF? |

Clearly No. But * he's on the list * he was serviceable up forward in 2005 * can take a pack mark which when playing 2 forwards against 7 defenders from the opposition may be useful. * the one skill we know he has for sure could be a potential weapon against the flood. Our half forward line is shattered. Young kennedy needs guidance and all we're doing is throwing him to the wolves when any team thinks of playing a half flood against us. Deluca has proven that he can't do this role at half forward. Whitnall did for a quarter. I just want new ideas or new attempts at old ideas. |

Why should we have someone taking pot-shots from 60m out when we have the leading goalkicker in the AFL sitting at FF? |

I'd much rather see Livo brought back in to play at FB and Lance put forward, but anything is worth trying. |

I would love to see thornton dropped and livo brought back in........or play livo down back and give t-bird a run at chf.....why not???? he moves well....reads the play fairly well and cant defend...all the makings of a forward. |

t-bird came to us as a forward so maybe thats worth trying as well. I'd prefer to leave him down back though. He hasn't been that bad this season, good games against Collingwood and Essendon*. |

Someone in the crowd at Saints game yelled to De Luca " You don't need gloves De Luca, you need suction cups!!! "..... Hillarious ![]() |
