Yes, its another Blueseum thread written by molsey or Jarusa BUT It's a thread with a difference. We're mildly confident that things are happening within the Club to formally absorb or link the Blueseum into the Club's net real estate. This may involve cutting off the Blueseum from new contributors, as indicated by Jarusa in the real BZM thread. However, before its handed over, proof checks, stocktakes and quality control could all do with a hand. By this I mean: * Spend an hour in the site, following through links to ensure we're all linking properly and there's no typos. * Check through all the players you expect to have bios to see if we can ramp this up a little: - All players from the last 25 years? - All premiership players that you can remember? * Find bios without pictures and source them from the internet. Anyone with time on their hands to help the 'workers' with such a role would be most welcome. If you come up with anything, please post it in the BZM thread up top. Cheers Molsey |

That's the spirit El Presidente. Ideas for what we need to do: 1. Ladders - we already have a volunteer looking at automating all ladders from 1897 to 2005... IN PROCESS 2. BIOS - we need someone to list which Bio's need some filling ie those with nothing that we could do a simple bio very simply. perhaps pick a year since 1980, find the team list, and check off all names to see if all are covered? 3. Proof Checking - spend an hour going from link to link to see if its all working OK. 4. Game linking - At the bottom of all games in 2005 there is now a link to the prior and subsequent games. IT would be great if we could add this functionality to all games, ever. 5. Pics - search the net for player pics and add to the Image Galleries? Steve, Jarusa - any other ideas? |

It would be nice to have reviews of all the finals Carlton have played. Lots of finals still don't have reviews, so anyone who wants to try their hand at a finals review would be really welcome (or any other game significant in the history of the footy club that you can think of). |

Does anyone know some older Carlton fans full of memories? We've got Dan's Dad, Ron, going through the Blueseum this week trying to remember little bits about players from the 1950s and 1960's. True Blue fans from that era are like Gold to us at the moment; that era is a real blind spot for us. Anyone else know anyone else? |

molsey.....I think I've still got all of the Newspapers covering our Final's appearances since.........I don't know......might be....1968? The Herald.....The Sun....Footy Week....Sporting Globe.... The Sunday Observer....The Sunday Press....The Truth....The Age....Inside Football. Dad and I used to buy all publications covering Carlton's Finals. I've got them all stacked away in cartons somewhere; and I'll have to try to make an effort to find them and dig them out. As always with all of us.....time is the problem. |

yep, it is a shame, but you can always photocopy and mail or scan and email if it helps... Anyway, I don't want it to seem like I'm pressuring you, so I'll leave you alone now ![]() |
