G’ Day Troops,

I have used the list of players who should be recontracted/retained at seasons end from my “Traditional End of Season Rebalanceâ€

I guess removing the nucleous of the current side has to be done, but I also think that it is a little too early to be making predictions of Bower and Kennedy, but I love your enthusiasm and desire to outside the square.

Not a bad side in my limited opinion...

Like who you have in the team, but I don't rate Bentick roaming around in the back pocket, he would be exploited.

In and under mid or bust for Bentick. If you don't see him playing in the midfield, then I'd put Carrazzo in his place.

So using the names you've already put up, I come up with this:

Backs:......Carrazzo, Hartlett, Thornton

H/Backs:..Bower, Big CHB, Russell

Centre:...Simpson, Classy Centre, Walker

H/Fors:....Houlihan, Kennedy, Waite

Forw:......Betts, Fevola, Fisher

Ruck:......Giant Ruck, Murphy, Stevens

Int:.........Aisake, Blackwell, Whitnall, Speedy mid

Emerg:...Bentick, McLaren, Flint

Something tells me you forgot about Whitnall. :)

Changes in bold, new recruits underlined.

My point? Most of the recruits would be in the ressies.

GAH no Houlihan, he'd be good on the HF flank.

I fully understand your point, but one critisism of AB is that he is purely in and under and doesn't go both ways. I don't necessarily agree with this but like Ratten a bit of time down back will do wonders for his defensive game

Jimbo, I understand this point, but I thought that I made it clear that this is a project youth side which will be a couple of years in the making. The point of the newbies being on the field whilst the experienced ones are on the bench is purely for illustration purposes.

Please re-read the post and particularly the bolded sections.

Now adding these players to the core of quality kids that we already have, gives us a completely different look. Putting aside who may or may not be still on the list over the next couple of years, I have tried to imagine these 7 mythical players in our side and built a team around them. Only for illustrative purposes, I have put them in position and added the others, but it goes without saying that some existing players would be on the ground whilst the newbies probably would be on the pine.

Sorry dude, missed that. Ok in that case my suggestion would be my own, for next year.

Very acheivable. :)
