For interests sake, I had a beer with the SA Carlton recruitment manager on saturday afternoon at an Amateur League game between Adelaide Uni and the Seaton Ramblers. He told me that Bryce Gibbs had lunch at the Carlton prematch luncheon. Supposedly Gibbs is keen to play at the Blues next year. Peter Motley and Sticks were having a long chat with Gibbs and his father Ross. If B.Gibbs is anywhere near as good as his father then we will have a lace out centreman in a couple of years. This recruiter also told me that Leroy Jetta has been courted by the club. Jetta looks and plays like a clone of Andrew McLeod. So if we can snare both of them our midfield woes might end in the near future. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I guess this depends on a couple of things. 1 is that we win the spoon, 2 is that the AFL allow us the priority pick. I cannot see Jetta going through to pick 17 or 18. |

People like me HATE THE CROWS AND PORT EQUALLY! Ross Gibbs is very good friends with Sticks. MOST VICTORIANS UNDERESTIMATE THE AMOUNT OF SUPPORT CARLTON HAS IN ADELAIDE. I have barracked for the Blues since i could walk and the Crows make me feel sick. They are not a real club the SANFL F@#$#d things up when they made the Crows. I will always be blueblooded! |

Small query on his attitude, missed out on a selection for the WAFL seniors because of it, but he's back in there now. Anything can happen to cause players to slide, let's not get too downtroden on ourselves. ![]() |

Bumbers have stated that they are clearly after a speedy midfielder. Jetta I believe is very high on there shopping list. |

Jetta will take time to bud. He is a little light as well, he will need to do a lot of weights to be strong enough for AFL. But, he is really quick and has great foot skills. definently worth trying. Gibbs is already making a name for himself in the SANFL. A walk up start in our current 22. is the opposite stlye of midfielder to Murphy. If Murphy is a Cousins then Gibbs is a Judd. |

You sure about this? I'm told Gibbs is not blessed with pace by foot, but rather with his decisions and skills!! |

Agree on Jetta, small queries over his height as well, I forgot to mention, but not as much of a concern as it was with Betts. Wasn't Murphy likened to Cousins in his work-ethic, game style and skills rather than being exactly like Cousins (when drafted)? Gibbs vs Judd it's supposedly a tie on quality (when drafted) but that's not a direct comparison at all. |
