Despite some murmurs in the press, it doesn't look like the Vic Govt has come through with any funding in relation to PP:

Despite intense lobbying and even having an ex club champion as the Sports Minister the board have failed to get 1 cent from the state government for the redevelopment of Princes Park, yet the Western Bulldogs have received $3m. There is not one mention of Carlton or Princes Park in either the Treasurer's speech.

It's official, this board has no effective plan moving forward and any ideas they have appear to be written on the back of serviettes.

Yep I reckon Harry's hidden it in there. Any mention of money assisting CFC in Harrys part of the budget would cause uproar with opposition supporters. NOT GOOD PR.

Not completely dishonest - it would be a community facility, a la Whitten Oval, albeit with nicer people :-D

AFL type grounds... sounds promising... $4m pa over 3 years though, hardly enough to do the loos at MC Labour Oval.

It was always going to be AFL, Govt and MCC all contributing so 3 or 4 mil is the max you can expect from the budget

The Bulldogs recieved 3 million as it is a community center that has child support, day care, sporting facilities, gym

The blues have conducted a Fesability report and the likes of what the bombers and bulldogs have would not be financialy viable in the Carlton area. So there fore the state government will not tip in the money and thats why they wana sell the lease to the AFL. Even Grocon rejected an offer made to them by the club to redevolep the ground into a community center

the $3m from State Labour is chicken feed compared to $11m from the Fed Libs for Whitten Oval. Pork. barrel.
