I know we have many problems. But this hurts so much every week. The only joy i get each week from football is Essendon* losing. But its not enough. How do you guys distract yourselves from this shit? @#$%&! 50+ points down at half time... wtf?

this year is all about securing the best picks we can get, if it means we only get to see 3 wins so be it.

next year you will see a different team run out.

You think that's bad, I just watched the last half of the Geelong V West Coast game. Geelong was the weakest thing I've ever seen. Never seen a side fall apart at the seams like that. Some sides can blow great leads and look like they're still playing, but that was the weakest choke i've seen, and i've been around a while.

I stick another pin in my voodoo doll of Denis Pagan to relieve the pain.

I just abused the maggots because luckily they gave me an outlet today with their pathetic display. The abuse of the Carlton players by some supporters annoyed the hell out of me even though they were pathetic on the whole.

Always funny when supporters say What a shit kick! and it hits it's intended target.

ewwww how could you say that to me? They are so going to be out the first round. Harry Kewell is their only good player. Come England and Netherlands, Bye Socceroos. Yuk.

the world cup is a timely distraction.

it sure does hurt though. watching the first three terms yesterday was all pain. to think we won our first spoon 5 seasons ago and we are still serving up this tripe is hard to fathom.

i cannot understand how professional footballers can't do the basics like hit a target over 25 meters or chase, tackle and shepard. seriously it makes me wonder.

sorry to get all negative, i try to stay positive always but this is taking it's toll.

i'm slowing becoming desensitised.

Hey SB,

From what I saw on saturday of Bryce Gibbs I happy to lose every game from here on end to secure him

I didn't want to start another thread...but thought I best put this here because as Dane said 'it hurts'.

I sat amongst the 'suits' on Sunday afternoon. Behind me - some very well spoken gentlemen - a couple of guests and their wives with them - yet they didn't know or particularly care too much about the footy. And no - they weren't talking business or politics either...I couldn't recognise the faces...but I recognise Italian suits and expensive diamonds when I see them - and they were in abundance in aisle 38...i hope none of them were on the board...coterie more than likely.

To my right I recognised around half a dozen gentlemen. 2 former players Adrian 'Bear' Gleeson and the great John Nichols. Both had pained expressions on their faces and shook their heads occasionally at what they were watching before them...to be honest they looked like they had tickets to see the 'Lion King' only to be told the show they were seeing was 'Cats'. They were hurting.

Graham Smorgon was there looking resplendent in a navy blue overcoat. He wasn't hurting...he looked like a little boy during recess hoping to find a friend...it wasn't fortcoming. I know all the people there yesterday are important to the club. But there was something missing. The likes of Ken Hunter, Swan McKay, Diesel Williams...a David Glascott, Serge Silvagni - intelligent footballers, businessmen, 'real' Carlton people to mix with these people and talk up the direction of the Carlton Football Club...I fear we are losing it - i haven't hurt like this since the umpire took the ball off Mike Fitzpatrick that day and accused him of 'stalling'...but there's always a silver lining...the form of Lance - the passion of 'Sticks' on AW before the game...and a young man who wears number 3 who makes everyone - even those wearing diamond encrusted earrings and know nothing about the game - sit up and take notice.

Dr Sherrin, I agree - the club is missing some champions from our recent history. Apart from Sticks, where are the other champions from 1995?

Gleason is a new baord member and Big Nick is a legend of the club, but these guys are not the ones that the team will turn to for inspiration.

Where is SOS, Diesel, General Dean, Braddles, Rats, Sexton - where have all the past champions gone - why don't they want to be part of this club?

We had in the past 10 years, the premier Full Back and Midfielder in the competition in SOS and Diesel and neither one of them is lending a hand.
