Ridiculous decision to drop Blackwell and Kennedy and not elevate russell given todays performance Sticks on 3AW couldnt seem to rationalise it before todays game - seems a rudderless ship Surely they all should be preferred to prenda teague and longmuir - they should be back in the vfl - whilst you are at it De luca would have been better than french who was shocking today and has been very ordinary this season - and sporn and livingston are lucky that fisher and waite are out Carrazzo must come in In blackwell kennedy russell De Luca carrazzo Out longmuir prenda teague mcgrath and sporn |

Maybe their giving the 'duds' 3 weeks to seal their fate. I would say our priority is to play kids and hopefully snare a high draft pick or two. Maybe we can't elevate rookies because we can't afford it? ![]() |

Team morale is at a high at the moment, this is also the reason why Denis is playing some of the hacks. He also wants the 1 and 2 draft picks |

Pagan said in press conference that all those guys had good VFL form so had to be rewarded. Also spoke of having balance in the team and limiting number of young, inexperienced players. Kennedy had no pre-season and needed more time in VFL. |

What a crock of crap. Teague doesn't have to be rewarded. Nor does Prenda. The club pays them to represent the Carlton Football Club in the AFL, and they're patently not good enough to do so, and never will be. Reward them? How's about rewarding the idiot supporters who trudge along to the games only to watch a bunch of recycled guys with no future gettting hammered by better, quicker, younger opposition? Jeez... going by Pagan's logic, we'll be redrafting Digby next season, because surely he has to be rewarded for carving it up in the VFL this season. |

jesus ballistic, enough of your Pagan Masterminds Blues Draft Coup stuff. We all know that if we played the kids we'd lose just as many games and get just as good a position in the draft. Except we'd be getting meaningful games into those who are the future of our club. Ridiculous that a top 10 draft pick from 18 months ago who shows good form in the VFL can't get a game ahead of a no-future soon to be discard like Teague or Prendergast. |

Pagan could listen to Sheedy Quote: We won't shy away from playing every kid on our list this year and if that means we cop the kind of beltings like the one on Friday night, then so be it.
The decision we are making is to have eight senior players and 14 kids with less than 40 games, rather than the other way around. Do you play all the senior players and still get your bum smacked? Those young players are still learning with their decision making and skills, but they will get better. |

Agree...reward potential rather than the tried and failed....results are not important...lets find some decent players and fast track the ones who have been identified...... |

I think Russell should have been playing today, however it was probably a good idea to let Blackwell and Kennedy get some "leather poisoning" for the Bullants. |

the club as a whole is a mystery Post of the week. Everything is a mystery. Kickout tactics offensive and defensive are absolute mysterues The game plan is a mystery - the players have no idea where to kick Selections are a mystery. PLay the duds, i mean kids, i mean duds Board is a mystery (why complain about PP changes now - should've done it when they changed the rule or never. And finances? Footy show debacle? Mysteries) Non-board is a mystery (pratt, grollo, fahour, fitzpatrick, maclure - all vocal but disinterested - mystery) Nothing is concrete - Carlton is an abstract shitty mystery at the moment - nobody knows what the flower they;re doing from the top down. |

Frank, The good thing to come out of the Sticks interview was that he said they are going to change the selection policy after the break. I think Barass may be right and certainly after today's performance some players can't complain that they weren't given a chance. One would presume that Stick's comments mean that the kids will be played the last half of the season and in the meantime they are going to give Prender Sporn etc the chance to show they deserve to be kept on the list. Good to see Carlos being given a chance at CHB in the Bullants and hopefully Kennedy Blackwell Carlos Bower Hartlett Russell etc will be given several games on the trot after the break. |

but yesterday surely was the end of us seeing prenda and sporn and longmuir again at senior level - havent they had enough chances and even if they star in vfl -shouldnt be promoted Jury well and truly still out on teague livo and maybe they get one more reprieve because I suspect they wont make more than 3 changes - mcgrath is also skating on thin ice If livo plays he should be on lynch next week. Moreover people bag De Luca but at least he has youth on his side -French after a couple of good years has been diabolical this year - cant even pick up the ball -fumbles continually and has the mckernan early leap down to a fine art |

Is Livo still classed as a kid? How was his ridiculous positioning/decision/F### up that lead to yet another easy goal to port in the first qtr. Remember the one in the goal square for an easy port tap in. How much development/games/encouragement and whatever else does he need? Expect Livo to play on Lynch this week. If Lynch kicks a bag I don't want to see the #4 running around at senior level whilst Livo has it on his back! |
