My stand's staying up, but Pratt's is coming down.

Maybe we should have left it until we get his money.

George if you look at the numbers the CFC is putting 2 million into the project. I am assuming your putting in the 2 million to keep your stand erect

Good to see the club getting it up online asap with an artist's impression of the development.

The other clubs are running a picture of Bracks and Demetriou. :?

Does this mean that:

a. We're getting the largest share and the others don't have much to show
b. We're further down the track than the others
c. The other clubs have been included to make the development of PP more palatable to them
d. Our marketing department is the best in the league...

According to the Fact Sheet "our" project is costed like this:

Quote:
Funding Contributions:
Stage 1
State Government: $5.00m
City of Melbourne: $2.00m (subject to Council Budget process)
Carlton Football Club: $2.00m
Australian Football League: $3.45m

Lets not make too many outrageous statements now GWS!!!

Given that Carlton's project equated to $15.7M of $55M, you can say that we get the lions share! :P

Moorabin also appears in line to get a substantial share. So are the others I suppose.

But this is fantastic news. The most important platform to the relocation of our home games (and conditional to this happening), so it is finally good to see some definite progress

Ripper news. :D

Now where to from here? If we hand over the lease to the AFL, what happens to any possible income from these facilties?

Nah - a) was an answer not a question.

The Sainters appear to be getting a whole new centre but their site doesn't have anything up on it yet.

Must be our marketing department... :P

Fantastic.

Obviously a lot of negotiations have taken place to get so many different parties to the table.

Well done to the board for this great news.

Hopefully, more good news to come later in the year.

Welcoming the announcement of the redevelopment, a delighted Carlton president Graham Smorgon stressed that the project was conditional on the club's agreement to move its home games to Telstra Dome and the MCG.

Told you so.

Disappointed that there doesn't appear to be plans for a Blueseum though. Jarusa's virtual one will have to do for now I guess.

:P

And that's going to be one busy 4 lane 25m pool with all the people that are going to have access to it.

Oh, I hate to be a doomsayer, but this comment from Angus Morgan's article doesn't sound too promising for those hoping for speedy progress…
Graham Smorgon wrote:
"While it is difficult to estimate how long the project will take to complete we will do all we can to bring this to fruition as soon as possible.

"A full feasibility study for this environmentally friendly project will look at all potential options and what is required to achieve these options and an important element of this will be comprehensive community consultation."
