Hi all...
just thought I'ld post a public thanks to the club for the Clinic day run yesterday...

Was a great day...about 800 kids! absolutely freezing wind ...
All players in good spirits and a huge turn up also. Probably too many activities 15 I think, which meant only tiny amount of time at each station.
Show bags were a great idea and the footy (which subsequently was signed by Captain Carlton) is an instant treasure!

Great to see so many players and as always their interaction is fantastic (Just my imaginations...perhaps better than usual!)

DOA , your boy is a star...had a grin from ear to ear all day.....obviously in a good mood (and nice new mota too  )

T-Bird happy to not be playing on Jonathan Brown (as he's out) but said that probably Whitts would have got him anyway...(someone was jokingly saying that he usually gets the hard tasks so he must be on Brown...which is true).

Players present...(hope I don't forget anyone)

Dylan McL
Troy Longmuire
Trent Sporn
Heath Scotland
Prenda
Walker
Murphy
Wiggler
Teague
Setanta
Aizake (good to see some rookies)
J Smith (as above)
Livingston
Russel
Saddo
Lappo
Raso
Waite
edit: Plus Simmo (sorry!)
Carrots (there for a short time but not out on the ground??)

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone...
Anyway ..thanks to all involved

Damn, can't find the emoticon for "tongue in cheek"

Kouta has been there in the past though.

Actually the biggest disappointment for kidsvwas Fev...but he has been at all the others and seriously gets swamped all day by kids (and adults) regardless of the activities, he always does well though.....his only escape is to go into the rooms...
(also I heard there may be another camp/clinic on...not sure if some are at that)

It was Whitt's turn to be swamped most of the time yesterday!

I attended the clinic with our 4 year old and also thought that it was a tremendous day BillC.

The players generally related well to the kids with a few in particular interacting brilliantly.

I thought that the stand outs in the manner that they interacted with the youngest group of kids were Luke Livingston, Ian Prendergast, Lance, Matthew Lappin, Andrew Walker, Marc Murphy and Setanta.

Andrew Walker is a wonderful young man. He was genuinely delighted when our 4 year old asked him to sign his jumper and he realised that our son had number 1 on his back. Andrew’s manner towards, and interest in our son was a highlight that our son will never forget. He now has a footy and a jumper signed by his hero – both of which he alreadyl treasures. Well done Andrew.

Thanks to the club for organising a great day.

Regards

Ockham

My six year old went along with Mrs. mikkey. Junior reports that it was "sensational" - lots of kids, lots of players, all in great spirit and great with the kids.

Junior 's favourite player was Simmo who was really good with the kids and also special mention of Skinny. Junior achieved to emberass his mum by walking up to Teague and telling him that his mum thinks he is "hot".....

Anyway, from the reports are very good clinic - good to hear.
