Which part of positive is so difficult to understand.

Blackwell superb. Simpson just keeps on improving.

three weeks in a row carlton youngsters have shown something.

cop this future band of successful blue midfielders with all 20 or plus possessions:
AB 20
Luke Blackwell 26
Simmo 25
1AW 21
Wiggo 23

special mentions to midfielders/utilities carrotts 19 and JR 14

good to see Setanta get 8 possies.

of course kennedy will be better for the experience and we have murph back at some stage

bloody excited that we have something going for us. as AW said give it a couple of years and we will have a couple of very special players.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

T-bird has regained his confidence and composure in defence after losing it badly last season.

Our kids are progressing, developing and learning. When they click we will surprise a lot of people.

Blackwell is our best onballer now Murphy is out

Carlos played. Will grow in confidence with a good amount of game time under his belt. Will also learn the speed is a bit quicker when playing from behind and hopefully won't be caught out in the future.

JR is growing and growing, his last play summed it up when he took his opponent on attempting to break the lines, was caught, but then laid a tackle in an attempt to win the ball back.

Simmo was good, Houligan kept Aker quite for 95% of the game.

T-Bird was magnificent.

the positive is that every week we have the same positives. improvement from the youngsters and i guess thats the only thing thats unna pull us out of the mess we're in. wish murphy hadnt got injured though. :(

The kids standing up each week is a huge positive that the media don't acknowledge as much as they do Richmond's, Hawthorn's, etc.

That and we're one loss closer to another three draft picks in the top 20. :(

three? who are we gunna trade off for a first-rounder?

Two early second-round picks are going to get us two very good prospects this year. At that stage, there'll still be genuine midfielders of quality left, and maybe some very good kpp prospects.

Add that to either Bryce Gibbs or the best tall prospect in years, and it's not a bad silver lining.

Blackers - the kid has run, but also clean hands and gets in and under - very excited about what i saw from him tonight

Simmo - growing as a footballer every week, excelled after being added to the leadership group

AB/Carrots/1AW/JR - add these names who played their part tonight to the above and we have every reason to look forward to the future

Murph - no positive about the shoulder, but the tackle he laid after he got crunched just shows how professional, dedicated and passionate he is about his footy - get well soon Murph!

T-Bird - great to see him controlling the backline, can't wait to see how he combines with Hartlett

Fev - obviously not 100% but competes so hard, plus the midfield delivery off the outside of the boot to Deluca was spesssshal

Blackwell really really really really looks a player, he was superb in traffic tonight.

O'hAilpin looked a lot more comfortable and played his role well.

Bentick was tough as nails on the bottom of the packs.

Simpson is a machine.

Thornton is playing his best footy.

Wiggo is doing his bit, but had a few clangers.

The development of the young players on the list has exceeded my expectations this year. Still a long way to go of course but the signs are positive. Would be fantastic if JK could have 1 or 2 confidence building games before the year finishes.

Also like that Whitnal was put into the forward line in the last quarter, it might not have paid off but it was a good move. We had a very inexperienced backline in the last quarter and I reckon they did really well. Good experience for them.

Lots of good players again. Very pleased with how hard they ran and tried to create (even though it often didn't come off).

Blackwell was very impressive (better at this level than VFL level). Simpson just kept on running and competing. Thornton was excellent.

Special mentions to Bentick, Setanta, Bannister, Russell and DeLuca.
