Murphy's first 12 games were statistically the best since haselby. After blackwell's past 2 games, is there anyone here that thinks that he could eclipse that? - I think he is a genuine chance given the rate at which he seems to accumulate possession and the amount of ground time that he is likely to get from now until the end of season.

Blackers has broken through right in the nick of time...hopefully hold his spot and get heaps of experience. Don't want him to eclipse Murphy, Murphy will do that next season and the season after .... just want Russel, Blckers and even Setanta to get heaps of ground time |

Looks like Blacky could take Murph's spot over the next 2 months. Just looks so composed. I noticed at the Ants he just seemed to get the footy  when it seemed he didn't have a chance.
He's now doing it at AFL level  .
Russell and Blackwell to take over from where Murphy left off. |

i've been a hige blackers fan from day one. i can see blackers and murphy being the catalast of our side for the next ten years. at the end of their carrers they will be household names like bradley and williams. they are already starting to dominate at AFL level as teenagers. scary thought that. chuck in bentick and simpson to the mix and our midfield is look good for the long term. |

well after 12 games these kids have given more hope than the last 3 years combined. we will get there, just need to sit it out just a bit longer |
