Greetings Earthlings,

Welcome to another installment of club swapsies. Here are the direct swapsies that have occured since the draft began.

Carlton to Collingwood

1991, Mid-Season, pick 4, Fraser Murphy, 0 games
1992, Pre-Season, pick 22, Ross Johns, 0 games

Collingwood to Carlton

1992, Pre-Season, pick 46, Paul Tuddenham, 0 games
1993, Trade, Barry Mitchell, for pick 35 which got Aaron James, 38 games
1996, Trade, Mick McGuane, picks 19 and 65 which got Brent Tuckey and Brad Cassidy, 3 games

While the McGuane experiment did not work, at least Collingwood did not gain much with the draft picks we traded. Barry Mitchell while at the end of his career played some great games for the Blues and remained involved with the club after his playing days.

Anyone remember any pre-draft swapsies?

McKenna probably another in the McGuaune mold.

Any others?

Collingwood to Carlton

2003, Trade, Heath Scotland, for pick 35 which got Brent Hall, 22 games (to end of 2004)

Thanks PJ, the data we are using here at Majerczak-Verbeek-5 had Scotland as coming from South Fremantle. Go Figure!? We are currently only on Windows 3.0 so that may explain the problem.

Ray Byrne played 81 games with us went to the Pies in 1978 to play 121 games including Grand Final losses against us in 1979 & 1981 and vs Richmond in 1980...Cannot help bad luck!

Russell Ohlsen,47 games with us.Went to the Pies in 1979 for 50 games..Had the misfortune to play in a losing Grand Final team(to us) in his first year.Additionally picked up a losers medal the following year!

How do these blokes sleep?

ray byrne and craig davis were also in our losing GF team in 73!!

remember that lightening quick (pace & temper) indiginous player who started at collingwood but then controversially crossed to us cos he was in our zone ... or something like that .... can't remember his name!

Went to North first...Interestingly he only left us because we were not prepared to risk him due to the injury he received in 1975..
