Great work again Molsey. I'm glad Banno is playing okay in the ones. He can mark above his height and has a bit of pace. He was really good in 04 and is cementing a spot now. Not a star but a solid contributor. Interesting to hear him talking up Barry M. Seems the Ants players respond to him. I have my reservations, but good judges seem to rate him high. Also interesting at how Banno rates Prenda. I know many here reckon Prenda's gone, but I'd like to see him have a fair dash for the rest of the year. He also was good in 04, no opportunities in 05 and going okay this year till injured.

You should have asked Banno if his old man taught him anything about the sweet science, he might have been our man to smack Copeland (altho the last thing his career needs is 4 weeks off).

Nice work Mike and Dan...JB is one of my fav players on the list and deserves credit for sticking at it and in my view has cemented a place....praise to for Barry Mitchell who has obviously had a big part in turning things around for him...

It is a consistent theme in this year's interviews - the players love Barry. We don't get to talk to the 'stars' for want of a better term generally, but those we do talk to regularly refer positively to Barry.

And that's great to hear that as a reacurring theme - but it also happens in the workplace and it's quite often the good cop / bad cop scenario...plus BM is a little more knockabout with the younger guys but they also know not to cross him.

The boys at Fitzroy would constantly rave on about how good Allan McConnell was and they would go to him before the senior coach....it doesn't necessarily mean they would make good senior coaches.

Nice job Mike and Dan. I have a lot of time for Banno. Blue collar sort of player that works hard.
