Do Carlton F.C. fly the flag when one of their own is targetted or hurt during a match? West Coast Eagles certainly did when Ben Cousins was on the end of Franklin (Hello are you there)? hit. When two players tackled Franklin and put him through the turf, to set an example not to mess with anyone from the Eagles team. I know Carlton are a young team but they should learn from such situations and make it part of their game, to make teams think twice when taking such chances. |

no, we don't really fly the flag. Why? because we don't have many natural leaders! We need to draft and develop leaders of this club! Which is exactly why putting Simmo in the leadership group was a great move-i honestly see him becoming a future leader, and maybe even captain of this footy club. |

But under no circumstances if youre playing a team sport do you rush into your team mates assistance when he is in his first year and he is being targetted for some rough house tactics... Fev aside we dont have many players who can look after themselves or their teammates..Kade Simpson has matured and will make a stand but when you are his size its difficult. Our big blokes are pathetic.....thats why I want Bryan in the team..forget about the ruckwork or big kicking...if he sticks up for his smaller teammates he gets the nod for the ruck spot ahead of the others IMHO...the others give us nothing in any area anyway.. I'll nominate Kennedy, Waite, Setanta and Hartlett who have to deliver on the flag flying..hard to nominate the young blokes but they have the physical attributes to keep the snipers off our young blokes.. |
