I seem to have forgotten the reason why some punters have been calling for malouf's head. Can somebody refresh my memory

It would have nothing to do with how he is responsible for the way the club is travelling finacially and its standing in the business and corporate world as a brand.. and all those new sources of income he has established in his power punch ways as CEO...

This is the bit that's lost on me. His business accumen is very good, is well regarded for his role with the City of Melbourne and what he delivered there. Is he being hamstrung by various members of the board? I don't know but blokes with his grounding just don't forget how to report a P/L and source sponsors.

Yeah I too remember how it was seen as such a coup when we got him, and can't see how he's suddenly apparently got no idea what he's doing. With Malouf it seems more a case of guilt by association - i.e. he is identified with the current board much of which most people want removed and hence they want Malouf gone too.

Really???

dont you have a clue what a CEO is/does?
Now why would Fitzpatrick give us a businessplan to work on and we reject it?
Why was Watts sent to the club??

Naivety isnt a good thing.

How could you possibly screw up the Melbourne Council deal?

My understanding was that he was recruited to facilitate the PP redevlopment process and his previous standing with the MCC was going to help get a slightly reluctant council to tip in funds. Now that this objective has been achieved, his worth is very little as he has underachieved in so many other areas

Reportedly on about $250k at MCC, so the move to CFC would have seen a rise -it's probably in the annual report somewhere?

Value for money? Nope.

Luke Livingston was also a lovely intelligent guy with the CFC at heart, DOA.
I was disappointed to see him go but then again, I felt for Sean O'Keefe as well.

You need more than great character to succeed at a high level and Malouf would be well aware of that. In dealings I've had with him, I've found him to be a great guy and I actually believe he is a reasonable administrator but he has allowed his position to be politically manipulated.

If he is a casualty of Smorgons ticket, that is now his decision.

MM is a likeable chap indeed... but he has gravely underperformed in his primary role which is to turn the clubs fortunes around .

*Four years in the job he has contributed very little to the structures needed to act as cornerstones for this club going forward.

*The AFL (Watts report) assesment of him was said to be savage .So much so that he briefed members of the board with a censored version of it... censored by himself... Smorgon was the other who saw the original.

*He has allowed himself to be involved in the day to day politicking of this football club to save his job ... instead of working on sustainable structures.

*He has very little confidence from many within the board and the people who are keeping this club alive right now.. (AFL and NAB)

*He will cop it in the neck simulatenously with smorgon come election time.

We really cant keep going on like this ...
