Has any player won the Coleman while playing for a spoon club before?

Not sure Deano but I would have thought plenty. One of the hallmarks of a crap side seems to be having a gun spearhead. Think Plugger, Templeton, Quinlan, etc...

Oh and not to forget, Brian Taylor, Matthew Lloyd and Michael Roach...

Yeah, I was thinking maybe even Simon Beasley.

Would like to know for sure though.

Heard about this the other day, I think it was last done by the Uni Blues in 1924.

Come on down Jars. :)

Erm, who you calling a nerd?

Besides, Lloyd is out for the year so this question has no relevance.

:-D

Courtney Johns has more than enough time to take out the Coleman.

Considering that Uni were booted out of the comp in 1914, methinks that ain't overly likely.

Unless you mean Roy Park in 1913, in which case I would point out that the Coleman wasn't awarded until the man himself did his knee in 1954.

:P

I do know that 2 Brownlows were won in a spoon year - Dinny Ryan in 1936 and Col Austen in 1949, tied with Ron Clegg.

I'll shut up now...

I wouldn't be surprised if Plugger got one for the Aints during one of the almost countless spoons.

I was using the current name instead of the lengthy title of "The League's leading goalkicker for the season".

I also consulted the source of my tidbit, to which they spouted out three new years, none of which make sense.

I retract my comment. :P
