At the opening bounce Robert Copeland wrapped an arm around me and I knew that he would be my date for the evening. There was a plan to give me a bit of help so that every chance we got, a teammate would give him a nudge off the ball to give me a bit more space - but it didn't last.

Bit of a dig at the team mates?

It's under 21 and under 21 games.

He's not eligible next year.

Great insight in to what he thought of the incident and how he's handled it afterwards.

i thought it was under 21 and 10 games or less

under 21 and 21 as you suggest would mean he is still eligible

There's been plenty of comment in the media about whether I'm still a chance for the NAB Rising Star. Right at the moment, I don't think I'm any chance at all. I have no idea what the judges are thinking, whether 12 games and one quarter is enough, what the criteria are, how the other nominees have been rated and what they will do between now and the end of the season. Of course I would love to win it, but I'm certainly not counting on it.

Carrazzo will win. He's due...

The pain in my left shoulder was instant and sharp and I knew straight away I was a 'goner'. I got up and tried to stay involved in the play thinking that I would have one last chance to take one of them with me, so when Ben Fixter fumbled the ball in front of me I tackled him as hard as I could and ended up taking his weight and mine on my left shoulder. It didn't tickle.

Michael Malouf has a few chores planned for me and Wayne Hughes as well.

I think Murphy should be used to tell Bryce that not playing for your dad's club is a great idea. :idea:

Is he a chance to win it next year? Don't you have to be under 21 and have played less than 20 games at the beginning of the year to be eligible? That's how Riewoldt and Kosi went back-to-back after getting drafted the same year... Marc might be the first two-time champ.... I'm probably wrong here given the complexities of the other AFL 'Eligibility' clauses..

I reckon if he had have debuted in round 10 and played 12 consecutive games of the quality that he did until season's end, no one would be saying he hasn't played enough. I'd say it's Andrew Raines that is keeping Murph honest rather than his curtailed season.
