The great Kouta has said if he plays on he will hand over the captaincy. I think Lance has been doing a fantastic job on the field. His leadership in defense and also during the game has been outstanding.

Lance for me. Would love 2 see simo v.c with thornton and stevens just behind them.

So you think he can handle the captaincy and the best tagger every weekâ„¢?

Has to be Lance troybond - he can recover from a medial ligament injury SO quickly!!!

Lance's leadership can't be questioned this season, even when he's played poorly.

Personally though I would like to see the Fevola 180 degree cycle complete. Fev for skipper. Most are confident that he has turned it around rather than just having 'a good year'. Everything about him these days is positive in my opinion.

Teammates look up to him, the fans absolutely love him, he's used to the media and knows how to play up to them, and shows a genuine desire to defend and/or promote the club at any opportunity.

2007 is the year for someone to grab the captaincy with two hands, and hold it until Murph is ready

Cptn - Lance
Vc- Fev, Stevens
DVC - T-bird, Murphy, Simmo

I'm sorry but one year doesn't eradicate a past history. If 12 months from now were were deciding on a captain and Fev had continued I would be happy, but it would make the footy club a joke to do it this year. Additionally, do we really want Fev as the OFFICIAL spokesperson of the club.....he is entertaining on the footy show but some of the stuff he lets out should NEVER be said by a captain...I think he can sell memberships etc just as easily by being the prime media figure at the club and an onfield leader, just not captain

Vote for Fev.

He hasn't played the fool on TFS any more than Crawf did as Hawks captain, that show's entire premise is for people to act like clowns.

Lance Whitnall for me.

He's worn Navy Blue all his life, I reckon he bleeds blue and his on-field leadership skills have been fantastic. I love watching him off the play direct the traffic, he's just got such a smart football brain.

I like Fev for VC. He's really matured as a footballer and as a person.

Interesting that people are suggesting up to 6 players for the leadership group... And only four of them are 'senior' players.

Whitnall
Stevens
Lappin
Fevola

Then there's the young 'uns...

Simpson
Murphy
Walker

Remember when we had leaders all over the park?
Sticks, Dean, SOS, Ratts, Brown, Williams, etc. etc.

Are we only a season or so away from a similar situation?
