I was watching the football on tv of the Bullants vs Coburg yesterday when i nearly shocked when they said Barry Mitchell is not guaranteed to be coach of the Bullants next year Due to behind the scene things that may be happening at Carlton im wondering who else heard that and what was there opinion on it i think myself Mitchell has done a wonderful job with the Bullants and development of the young players and has them playin team football Does it mean pagan is on his way out and mitchell may get the top job or someone else from left field |

I was cut when I heard that. Fair dinkum if the club cuts loose a guy who is actually performing/doing a good job then that shows what a pack of hopeless pricks we have making decisions down there. I would hope they see the light and make him the senior coach of the Blues next year. But that's easier said than done and it doesn't sound like they have the balls to do it. |

95% of the people on TC could coach that Bullants side to a premiership. |

I understand the implication to be thus: thorough review of Carlton football department to take place, with no positions considered safe, therefore Mitchell's mere presence is tenuous, and the Bullants coaching position is not assured as a result. Given the way the Bullants job is currently interwoven into the Carlton arrangements, one couldn't be certain about anything at Cramer Street at the moment. Would be a shame to see the one bloke who has thus far achieved tangible results being shown the door, but it's fanciful to suggest Mitchell will be in Pagan's shoes any time soon. |

I thought the article in the papers just recently indicated that there were going to be changes made to Dennis's support staff and that he could only keep one of the existing assistants and that IIRC would be Elshaugh. Accordingly both Mitchell and Liberatore could be gone at season's End. |

If Mitchell is putting the knife into Pagan's back as some are suggesting, then it is a do or die situation for Mitchell. If Pagan survives, then you would think that Mitchell goes. Otherwise, Pagan would pretty much have to cut ties with Mitchell and leave him as the Northern Bullants coach. There would be no communication between Mitchell and the football department. Not a great result for the club. But we don't know whether this gossip is true, so we can't draw any such conclusions. |

does anyone know why pagan and mitchell can't get along, is it something to do with footy or is it more personal? |

Listen here boy (and I do mean boy), when you ever get out of that nappy and move on to eating solids, you may only then be in a position to actually write something that is coherent and clear to understand. Until such time occurs, it might be best to stick to writing up puff pieces on the players you are in love with or the standard of ice-creams sold at the grounds. Now get off to bed, it's late and you have school in the morning. Carlton God Footy Expert |
