Pleased to see Setanta running. He is developing nicely and will be a factor next year. A bright light these past few weeks.

Bower - the bobbing run is back. Took me back to the 70's and showed enough for mine. Fit he should play a lot next year.

Blackers again yesterday in the time on the ground showed he has got some skills. More muscle and he is another I expect to spend more time on the ground than of it next year.

That 3 more for mine. Each I am happy with. 2 talls and a small - the 2 talls both with run thank God.

Add Murph from early this year

and big Josh

And I like Russell so I'll add him

and thats 6 now to factor in next year. 6 more to alter what we have, to add depth, to develop more over the summer.

Plus Simmo's stepped right up to the plate.

We are moving forward. Its hard, its damn slow and maybe things could be done better but at least there are things to be pleased with.

I'm actually not sure how they are going to supress the team next year.

If Murphy plays every game, Kennedy improves as expected, another couple of gun kids slotting straight into the side and more improvement from the other younger players it is going to be quite difficult to only win 4 games or less next year to gain the 1 and 2 picks in 2007.

Going to need a lot of planning and hard work to achieve the 2007 Priority Pick.

na easy

next year will be the year of the punch ups

Each week caerlton will be involved in Blues, have star players out but our crowds will be up.

Plus the club will come oout and slag the umpires so they will really stitch us up

and we'll have road trips from hell to ensure the young uns are well and truly [REDACTED]

all in all a
TKO for us but shit we'll entertain the masses.

Then in 08 we'll be serious. 8)

Next year will be another tough year, but it should be a bit better. As said above, we have some real good youngsters coming through, you can see it.

Hopefully we can keep our list management right, continue to develop the kids and we will be right.

When we hit our straps, I would expect blokes like Bentick and Carazzo fighting harder to retain their spot in the ones.

Great post DB.

There was a lot to like about our younger guys yesterday and although frustratingly slow, we will take another step up further next year.

I think it was dannyboy who has said we'll be a good team when Houla can't get a game.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the progress of some of our "dark horses" next year like Jackson, A O'Hailpin, Edwards, Hartlett and Raso. 2008 and beyond should be an exciting time for us.

Yep

course I also called Teague out and then he went and won the B&F

and said Parkin couldn't coach anymore in 94

and that Lance was the next Carey after his second season  so you know on the laws of averages Houla's probably pretty safe.

Nothing like some BIFF to entertain!

Having said that, some toughness at the ball is what is required. Even though it was great to see them sticking up for their mates, the ability to refocus quickly needs to be learnt. The ideal combination is to be nasty and good (like The Dominator!).

Pretty exciting yesterday, just wish I could have been there!

I am pleased with all those players Danny talked about but would have a question mark over Jordan Russell...dont get me wrong I like the character of the lad, he seems mature and I wish him success but am not sure if he has the mental toughness to make it...

I'm pleased that Denis rested Stevens.

I'm pleased that Denis has been naming the kids. (even if it's window dressing)

I'm pleased that we flooded back in the last quarter so our PP was'nt threatened. 8)

I'm pleased that Brodie Holland went down like a squealing pig.

I'm glad that Red had a heap of goals kicked again on him so we'll get over this ridiculous fascination of playing him key back.

I'm pleased that Carrots continues to show his worth to the side.

I'm pleased that Scotland came back on to the ground and continued to attack the footy.

I'm pleased to see Paul Bower step in and not intimidated.
