There has been a lot of talk recently about the possibility of Fraser Brown and perhaps others "bailing" us out of our current position pending their election onto the board. Personally I think Pagan has been hard done by, however it sounds like his position is now untenable and therefore it is time to move on.

I would like to put forward the suggestion of another "Carlton Legends" scheme as it is unrealistic to expect one or two charitable individuals to carry the burden. Obviously it would require somebody with a reasonably high profile within the club or with some exposure the media to promote this scheme.

The cost of obtaining the best "young" coach in the country would probably be in the order of $600-$700K over two years which obviously requires a donation of $1000 for up to "only" 700 Carlton people who have this money to spare and truly love the club. I'm sure that there are at least 700 people that satisfy this criteria.

Personally I would be happy to donate this and find our current situation to be desperate when you consider that kids like Murphy, Walker, Kennedy, Waite, Bower etc will be out of contract at the end of next season. At the moment we have promising young talent (plus picks #1, #17 & #19) and the time to act is now!

Molsey, Jarusa, Budzy, Blue Vain, Dannyboy, Synbad, Caz......whoever, if you have any contacts on this current board or with people forming a proposed new board please consider this suggestion.

humpers, something along these lines (not coach related but financial regardless) is already in the pipeline.

Someone on your list there has already come up with what IMO is a brilliant idea that could wipe out the club's entire debt in one fell swoop.

Still a while to go to see if it happens or not.

'Stuff' is happening though.

Nice idea Humpers but I think the CLub needs to focus on ideas that generate cash but give something back. There's something being talked about but its a long shot. I must admit it does look as though at the moment they are all concerned wih other things (ie watching their own back) rather than new ideas.

See I wouldn't give $1000 as you have outlined. But I might give them more if I got something back in return?
