So does anyone have any idea if and when this new ticket will be launched? If anything is to happen you would think it would be before trade period. |

If anything is to happen you would think it would be before trade period. Couldn't see it happening that quick if at all even. If Grollo and Fahour are the guys expected to lead it then I doubt it will happen. They have far too much on their plate as it is, but I guess we can dream. |

According to footy show last night - Garry Lyon spoke with Fraser Brown and he told him that the wheels are in motion and "watch this space" So it looks like it will be an exciting summer for the bluebaggers. |

Had a chat to a former club powerbroker last night. He said he doesn't know of anything specific being put together but there's certainly a lot of talk around. Said he didn't think Brown and Co were all that far down the track at this stage (although he said he didn't really know) but that if it was going to happen they should take their time and put together a serious ticket rather than rush into it and end up with another half-arsed board. He also blamed me for the current situation. ![]() If he's right and it's all my fault then I apologise... ![]() |

If there is a challenge it needs to be totally free of any taint of Elliott and his cronies. I will spew if a new group gets in and the next day Jack the Clown is on SEN claiming to be the power behind the throne. |

Well you can scrub anything to do with Frazer Brown then. |

A new board? No thanks. Out of all our board members only about 3 or 4 of them are doing any of the REAL work and Smorgan is one of them. These people should stay on. The loafers who are just there for their ego and think the club owes them something because they helped kick Elliott out should move on. |

Oh well ![]() Funnily enough as I was walking home in the rain last Friday night just about the time El Presidente was giving his speech I realised that my shoes had a hole in them and that my sock was soaked. Went out the next morning and bourght myself a nice new pair of sneakers that don't leak. True story... ![]() |

No news on the grapevine where I am...other than a few interesting snippets about phone conversations that have occured between a few famous Carlton ex-players Not naming names so here goes.... A man who laid a great tackle in the '99 Prelim on Dean Wallis wants to keep the ball rolling and is after some mates to join the cause...has approached all his old mates that include a former backman who can cure your dog, a midfielder who won 2 b&f's while wearing contact lenses, a south australian who was also a handy cricketer, a man who owns Tammy Wynettes greatest hits and a little rover / financier who employed Kouta. ...Ok - I'll stop being so cryptic...Sticks has also been doing the phone calls and just telling people in the deepest voice possible - "The last thing we need now is for blood to be spilt - I know where you're coming from - but now isn't the right time"...or so the story goes. But the 'Dog' might have a couple of names already - a premiership wingman who wanted to be on the board a couple of years ago (who incidently has the smarts and is a great bloke)... a Carlton person who is involved in the media...a bloke who can fix your back and he might yet approach the current AFL Football Administration Manager. I will reiterate that this is just a few men in suits in a city cafe having a yarn over a latte and a biscotti...but my gut feeling is that if anything is to happen - it won't happen until November and it won't happen unless Daniel Grollo comes to the party. |

How bad would it have to get before he thinks it is the right time...? ![]() |
