Rumour has it, and regarded by ABC commentators as ludicrous that Stevens will be involved in a three way swap with Gardener with Stevens ending up at Collingwood as he always wanted. Rumour also has it that he doesn't get along with DP. I know for a fact that his brother played for N.Melb and didn't get along with him - for what it is worth. Some of you might see his departure as good news however. Personally I'd rather Stevens stay instead of Gardener, replacing him unless we get a draft pick on top of it. |

i'm not shooting dont worry...just thinking...CFC (if we want Gardiner) could get him in the PSD for nothing....but thsi rumour suggests we would rather trade Stevens ( a candidate for our captaincy) for him.... Some how.. i just dont think so. |

how can gardiner be in a 3 way when he is uncontracted and if he was picked up would be in the PSD as West coast have already stated he is not a required player |

Now I love your thinking!! The trade itself is unlikely, as Stevens is contracted for next year for 500 Grand. You wouldn't trade for Gardiner anyway, not when you can get him for nothing via the PSD. |
