Much is made of various clubs having a point when they mark the line in the sand. Sometimes this can be a difineable moment in a match that turns a season or as intangible as juniour player putting in that little bit extra in the preseason which may result in that match turning moment. Whilst it is al very good to say We are Carlton and #$%^the rest but what is going to be needed to cause our epiphany. |

Our situation is frustrating, bitter and demoralising. But no matter how bad it may get we the supporters can unite and make a real difference. Let's show a record membership for 2007 and take herat from that at least. We won't need to go cap in had to the AFL and all things will slowly unravel. We all love the CFC so let's stop the rot now. Up the Mighty Blues. Ciao |

I suggest that we sit and wait, and not worry too much about our current predicament, as bad as it is. As I have stated earlier, for some, they come to the door and knock repeatedly, and if they are fortunate, they get an answer. However for others, they knock but once, and the door opens for them. |

Lets hear what the new ticket has to offer. Liten to both sides with a view to determining the best plan (short and long term) moving forward. We need the following addressed: Development of the kids Build and develop the spine Build and develop the midfield Financial plan to get us out of debt Branding Sponsors Media liaison and publicity Membership drive and supporter communications Target date for finals appearance Target date for GF appearance Fitness coaches Skills coaches Recovery coaches Assistant coaches Training facilities Priority Pick (if it hasn't been addressed. Following the presentation from both sides, we vote. We settle with the winner, and we support the board and ensure the board stays true to their plan and promises. That's the line in the sand. I suggest we keep Pagan for 2007 so we suck it and see. I feel we had the opportunity for change a couple of weeks ago, and it's too late to change coach for 2007. |

Call it a line in the sand or whatever you like, but Carlton just needs to re discover what made it great. This is not some elusive and intangible thing to be searched for, but a descision that is waiting to be made. Once this occurs, things will start to fall into place. What the club did during trade week was a start. |

Mick Martyn was our 'line at the edge of the earth'. Unfortunately we missed the turn and fell off the edge. I reckon we've been soft over the last 6 years. We've been sooking so much about the debt and the draft picks, blaming the board and the board before that, pointing the finger at each other, leaking stuff to the media, etc, etc, etc. We've been a pathetic joke as a business and the football has followed in those footsteps. The last week has showed the football world that we are back as a club and not taking any more crap. We've climbed back over the edge and made the turn. Now hopefully the footy will follow in those footsteps as well. |

Once we have a new board, a long upward path for Carlton will commence. Since 2002, after our great fall, we have been pretty much caught up in a very unfavourable paradigm, trapped in a deep dark place and tormented day and night in a pit of unrelenting football misery. It will not be obvious immediately, but if there is fresh and new leadership for our club, it will be as if while in our pitch black, dank and dark prison, we have suddenly stumbled across what appears to be a flight of stairs, a very long flight of stairs leading out of our cell and very importantly, leading upwards - to what will appear to be a small flicker of light in the far distance. As we climb higher the light will become brighter and still brighter, until we emerge to the outside world and are reborn as the new Carlton. |
