Can someone please tell me when Barry Mitchell will be moved on? How can this banana still be coaching. His performance in the Bullants final series was disgraceful.

Welcome aboard Mr Pagan... Have you being doing your off season homework?

New Game plan next season Denis, or any Game plan for that matter.

Anyway why Mr Pagan do you want Mitchell removed so quickly ? Don't like looking over your shoulder ?

What a post to start with

Hope you like it here 8)

Why is he the banana when the real banana is still coaching us getting 600 grand a year to take us to consecutive wooden spoons. Top it off nicely wouldn't it to lose a decent coach like Mitchell and keep a failure like Pagan. Be a complete loss all round and make us look more ridiculous. If going 17-1 in a season is disgraceful what does that make 7 wins in 2 years and 2 spoons? With that record it's obvious, even to the dumbest, he's done well. Using your theory, Mark Williams wouild have been sacked from Port Adelaide long ago instead of coaching them to a flag.

Anyway, welcome aboard.

I think that people fail to realise just how much influence & Guidence that 'Banana' has had on our younger players.

Mate i can tell you now you aint the only person who shares that thought.
Current board members have lost respect for Barry and Sticks we are yet to hear the end of this saga.

Some say Anthony Pratt and Sticks can not work together so someone has to go

not sure that barry was ever the right man to coach carlton. he gives me a wayne brittan vibe. he just doesnt have the presence of a senior coach IMO, though its great to have him around helping out the young players. pagan surely has to improve? he hasnt had that much to work with. perhaps he should sit down with the playing group and they can have a talk about the future of the team, and the role that they want him to play. having said that i did want him out. but seeing as that is not going to happen, lets get behind him and hope he can come up with something to get our mighty blues back on track.

So Sticks has to go because he can't get on with someone who isn't on the Board???

how sucessful is this pratt fellow?
i know his dad has done very well for himself, but whats anthony's background? inherited sucess? that might be carlton's problem.

I agree Mitchell is not a coach and never will be, he should have been moved on 2 years ago. A good communicator and a good teacher but lacks diversity in game plan and lacks courage to make moves - very predictable.

Had the dopey board offered someone other than Mitchell as new coach option we would have seen back of pagan already

He has to go,you can't keep someone who lost, trying to get the top job,if i was Pagan i wouldn't want him around. There is no way they can work together, one has to go and it won't be Pagan, even thou he hasn't done a great job.

What exactly is Mitchells gameplan Headcutter?
If you're going to make criticisms, give us some details.
I'd suggest players like Hartlett, Prendergast, Livingston, Crow, Setanta, Edwards etc all played forward or back. Sporn, Chambers, Young etc all played midfield, back and forward.
Yet he lacks the courage to make moves?

I'm sure I heard the same thing about Worsfold a couple of weeks ago. Predictable gameplan, wont move players etc.
How did West Coast go this year?

I'd suggest a predictable gameplan is better than no gameplan at all. :?

Yeah, i'm not sure i aggree with that.

I'm a massive fan of Barry's but at the same time, can totally understand why people have reservations of him becoming our senior coach due to his lack of 'Big-Game' experience.

Sure, at VFL level he has been quite impressive for 3 years on end, but VFL is a different game as we all know.

But ..................................

I don't think we've been watching the same Barry Mitchell. I think some of his moves have been very couragous this year, the Setanta move to defense is one move that immediatly comes to mind.

Lacks diversity in his game plan?????? :? Well, everybody is entitled to their own opinion so i'll just let you have yours, but tell me this...................how is Denis's game plan (if any exists) any better?

I want Barry to stay. If even as an assistants role. Somebody comes to you and says "Would you be interested in a senior coaching role for one of the proudest clubs in AFL history" what are you gonna say? "NO?"

Come on guys no backtracking. You all wanted him coach when we were 17-1 in the VFL. A few of you even went out on the ground and listened to his sintilating 1/4 and 3/4 time speeches and communications skills.

If it wasn't for Mitchell - Simpson, OhAilpin, Bower, Russell to name a few would have all been delisted by now. No one develops talent like super coach Barry.
