You have probably all seen the recent change in the Club's weekly email to include a 'Where are they now?' section. The Blueseum Contributors have worked with the Club on an idea to sort of merge the catch-ups with the past players to add details of particular games in the Blueseum - right from the mouths of those players.

In 2007 we hope to get full access to the 1982 Premiership team as a partial celebration of the 25th anniversary of that fantastic feat.

Until then, are there some players FROM 1983 you'd like to know about? I'd like to have a list of about 10 who will be looked up prior to Christmas and talked to about their favourite games.

1983.

Or more correctly players since, and excluding those who played for us, in the 1982 Premiership.

This player always brings a tear to my eye - what might have been?

The phrase "Coodabeen" was coined for this bloke.

Tim Lane called him "The Bush Coleman".

Does anyone remember that cameo game he played against West Coast in 1993 - when Sticks went off injured and he played at CHF - took a screamer over Glen Jackovich (I think) off about 1 step?

I always thought if we had the courage to play this bloke in the 1993 Grand Final as well as Kouta - the result may have been different.

I agree AGRO....he was a great talent; but his heart was in the Bush.

Frustrating.

He's still at home in Castlemaine, as far as I know. Think he coaches the Castlemaine footy club now.

I think you're right - and he is very overweight as well.

no - he coaches Newstead in the bush league (Maryborough-Castlemaine League). They got thumped in the GF - he kicked only a couple (think he still got 100 odd for the year). Owns a sport store in C'maine. He was a gun. Stand on blokes heads for fun!
