Now that the Traitor-Bird wants to have a 'fresh start' does this mean the unluckiest man in football now gets a lucky break?

Apparently wasnt in the worst form this year in the ressies and theres a long line of delistees to look at before (maybe) Livo do you think we could keep him on severely reduced pay as a back-up if nothing else

OR

Will we stick with Withnall, OhAilpin and Bower/Hartlett?

I don't think Livo is one of Pagan's fav's so I highly doubt it. I'd love to see him get a chance at another club just to see if he can forge a career though.

No, we do not keep him.

If there isn't another player in this country better than Livingstone that we can pick up, the game is a sorry state.

Livingstone gone.

If Barry Mitchell can't develop Livingston into an AFL player then there is not one person on the face of this earth that can.

Livo's AFL days are over.

There should be no reason for keeping someone on an AFL list that you do not believe is up to AFL standard.

Interesting question. I would think that with his non-selection in 2006 that he'll be gone anyway.

My personal preference would be to promote Flint and try and see how Setanta, Hartlet, Bower and Flint go with a couple of flankers thrown in and Lance perhaps playing his loose man in defence role. Try them all and see who has a future over the next few years. That would mean Livo is gone.

I think you Wojee and myself are the only people who feel Livo still could have made it.

No, but it should

Not AFL standard at present, and has had his development years.

Injury, lack of development, others surpassed him long ago....it's over.

Trade him in 2004.

Based on what? When was the last time he got a bag kicked on him?

It doesnt matter in the end what we think TBB. Pagan gave him 5 games in 2006 despite full fitness. He is a little slow off the mark, lacks agility but is very competitive and a great bloke. That's just not enough for most. He will be gone one way or the other. I think a team with a better midfield and a defence that works together may be good for him - say Geelong.

But just because Thornton leaves, we shouldnt take the short term option and seek to re-contract for 1 year. We have to develop, develop, develop. WE're not going anywhere, so no more short term fixes.

Interesting thread.....you axe Livo then you need to trade for another defender unless Saddington is the preferred option to take over from Thornton...Does it alter your recruiting and you look for another U18 rookie FB like Thornton was?...
Seeing Pagan is no fan of Livo I would say he is gone.....will Pagan try and patch with a recycle defender?...
