Trade time end of another dismel season and many predicting or even wanting us to wallow down the bottom

Reading the posts there seems to be a lot of mixed feelings and opinions but simple we got turn this cliub around

if we dont get out of this predicament we find ourselves in we can draft picks early in the draft all we want and see them want to leave after 2-4 years because we look like a rabble

Enough is enough we got to fix this crap up quick smart and show a united club / board / supporter base and playing list or instead of Thornton / Russell wanting to go it will be walker / simmo / murphy ... gibbs if we get him .. Kennedy.

What people dont realise is players dont want to be playing in a club for multiple years at the bottom struggling for a win ... suffering from internal issues and being the laughing stock of many opposition supporters and clubs.

I really had enough it saddens me seeing our club in the crap its in
There are 2 or 3 reasons players will leave clubs
#1 if the club is succsseful and playing finals or lucky to get in the GF its the fringe player who gets left out that sometimes decides that his oppertunity is limited and maybe can head to a club that may require his services certainly not our predicament at moment.
#2 Players leave also who want to go back to there home state ... this can be rectified if the player is part of a strong club and feels comfortable and wants to share in the success of the club...but easy for them to want to go if they see a club in dissaray and struggling and still finding they are lacking oppertunity. IE Russell
#3 And prob the biggest reason which the blues have been building for the past 2-3 years is showing a lack of success / not showing a forward direction or a obvious postive direction... made even worse if the whole club is internally fractured from the Board to the coaching panel. If we dont arrest this situation and do something on both the offield and onfield performance of the club all our talented draft picks will just want to go ... bit pointless getting these picks if we loose them several years later.
So for those who want us to be in same situation next year all good and well but be prepared to go through trying to hold onto the previous talent.

At the moment we have clubs circling waiting for a disenchanted player to slip through the cracks ... and trying to attract players to the club hhahaha thats a joke ... we couldnt even attract a hack like Bolton ... not that we wanted him and i only call him a hack cause all the bombers think he is a hack also lol

The point is if we want to break the cycle and turn this club around ... we have to have a united board if it has to change or restructure do it soon... We have to show a plan .. any plan but something the players and supporters can see as a positive to building to success. We have to start to win games and go up the ladder not stay where we have been for the past 2 years.. ..We may like the idea of being patient and saying great we can get more 1st round draft picks in next years draft. maybe some supporters can be patient for a long term vision but the reality players dont want to loose 80% of the games they play .. ultimately supporters want to see the club moving forward .. sponsers want to associate with a successful club or a club at least that is improving thats the vision we need to show with this years and the existing talent we have that we are on the come back trail.

Anyway who ever is in the board / coaching panel need to start to work together or make changes quickly for a united club working for success on some form and languishing at the bottom and being ridiculed but other clubs / supporters / media ect

hmmm additional thoughts must be the early morning ....

I actually dont blame either Russell or Thornton wanting out at moment its hard to tell them otherwise when we cant even show the football public what we are doing means we will struggle to sell anything to the disenchanted players... my blame is too both the board and the coaching panel not to these or any of the players on the list... the reason these 2 players are ready to walk out is to do with the club .. administration and coaching panel.

Heres a possible solution fix up the board ASAP either the people on it unite or get rid of the difficult ones causing all the fracturing and put in people who will unit to repair the damaged image of the club... They need to concentrate on getting sponsers and supporters onboard selling a proper future ...repairing the poor image the club is projecting and start to hold onto the limited talent we have.

If Dennis is here to stay over the next 1-2 seasons we need to back him put in place a poper football department and i am sure Dennis is fully aware that he has to do something to show the players / supporters club that we are moving in the right direction. Put to Dennis your contract is safe for the 2 years if you start showing that we are going in a positive direction that the onfiled will helpo towards repairing the carlton brand...but if we are still struggling you know the score nothing is garanteed you dont have time on your side anymore.. be upfront he is now in show success or you wont survive the 2 years.

As for coaching panel potentially it will be all new ... Trout is gone ... prob mitchell maybe even Libba

There is talk about Crossica coming onboard ... but i would target a ex blue ... ie a SOS / Ratten / Dean someone who was in the successful error of the Blues..... add to that a Guy Mckenna if the saints dont sign him up.. that way we have someone who is determined to grab a senior coaching position somone who is passionate in getting success and someone who if Dennis fails over the next 1-2 years can jump into the top job and take over...... a proper planned succession plan...if you got a Guy McKenna or similar and said you have a great chance for the gig in the next 2 years... serve as apprentice to Dennis and if Dennis is showing results then everyone will be happy to a degree if he hasnt shown any change well then Guy you got the gig earlier.

This way hopefully the Club will all be moving in the same direction and more importantly has a plan in place...

Other additions include a young developement coach who is working with kids so important for our list now .... there should be some good candidates now ...

Having this kind of plan or something similar would at least show me that we are looking to get on the front foot and more importantly show a plan that will cover sudden changes or to have a ready made coach in 2 years.

The best way to repair the image of this club is through the coach and the on-field sucess... Winning games show the players successisnt far away ... keeps supporters happy and sponsers on board... more importantly come trade / draft day we will be the ones who will be circling not the ones being preyed on by oppertunistic oppostion clubs
