http://carltonfc.com.au/default.asp?pg= ... eid=303192 Just a reminder on membership for 2007... but more importantly the town where 'David' came from is also my home base of myself, plus one other spirited TC poster. I think George Town is the spiritual centre of the Carlton world. Well, perhaps second after the suburb of Carlton itself... |

Hollywood Aitken wrote: George who? I think he means George Harris... though I may be mistaken.... ![]() Taken from the article: Quote: CFC: What is the best thing about going to Carlton games? David: ‘Just the atmosphere and being surrounded by other Carlton supporters’. ‘When you see so many Carlton people…its friendly fun’ Friendly fun?! Obviously haven't been seated next to a feral Collingwood supporter then, have you David!? ![]() Quote: CFC: Who is your favourite player?
David: ‘Skills wise I suppose Brendan Fevola. I thought he put in a really good season’. You really haven't been to many games before, have you David!? ![]() Still though, great to see interstate supporters getting on board! ![]() |

Fevola isn't a highly skilled player? Tasmanian footy fans are as loyal to the Blues as they come. They (we) see the old VFL teams as our main competition and we would all have a VFL team before choosing an NTFL or TFL team. In the town where David comes from, I remember kicking the footy in the streets about 20 years ago and we all had Carlton or Hawthorn jumpers - it was a great rivalry. There's a few ex-Tassies who've jumped the strait and are keen posters here / members of the Club. Molly is one, I'm one..there's a few others. |

You know that we're in trouble when the Dogs are aiming for something higher than us in membership and could well be higher than us next year. http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/ ... 22,00.html |
