Pagan was just interviewed by Healy and Shaw, said...

Search for assistants was 'exhaustive', and very happy with who they have ended up with.

Crosica to take the back 6 and player development, Libba the midfield, Ratts the forwards. They may change it around mid-season.

Expect another anouncement in the future.

Still need to appoint a conditioning coach.

Talked about ruckmen. Ruled out Keating, 'a little bit too old'. Said alot of top ruckmen come from 'unconventional' background...Cox and Sandilands from rookie list, Hudson from Werribee, Jolly from being back-up at Melbourne. They will do their research and due-dilligence, and find someone from somewhere.

With regard to the draft, said he really didn't know, he leaves that to the experts who sees these kids play every week.

From what he said it sounds like we'll be drafting a ready made ruckman somewhere in the draft.

Didnt they try that twice with Deluca and Bryan with limited success?

I reckon one of our teen picks should be spent on the next most promising ruckman.

Can the mods turn this quote into the TC's new banner please.

And can the mods ban anyone who dares to suggest ANYONE other than WH will make the choices in the draft. That includes every 'sneaky leak' that comes from a member of the Board.

I wish we got rid of Libba and got Voss to take over his place.

So let me get this straight .... we conducted an exhaustive search of all available candiates and then appointed Brett Ratten, a champion centreman, to be our forwards coach?

I've insinuated in the past that Libba has failed, because the kids haven't grasped the skill of tackling, and I charge the person responsible for that at fault. I'm led to believe he's in charge of that skill, as well as the midfield, hence the inuendo.

But I have no proof.

Is there any proof that he's not done his job, or done his job?

I know he helped Bettsy through a preseason.

Maybe he is good enough and our players aren't there yet because of their level of ability (due to age or whatever).

Oh for Christ's sake!

Does that mean we will have ten mediocre Ruckmen to de-list in 2010?

Pick up the best young Ruckmen left with pick 35 and be done with it!

Live with the pain for a few years or we will have far worse to contend with down the track.
