I was in a hotel room in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA when Walker mades his debut listening over the internet, has just finished watching the Lakers in the playoffs live. Ahhh the memories.

And I was on a beach on an island in Thailand. Had to get a boat to another beach to check the internet, didn't log in till half way through the third quarter. I remember the feeling of joy as I listened to the birth of a new Carlton star...whilst sitting in tropical paradise!

Just wondering if anyone happens to have footage of the interview with Walker after his debut? I'd love to have a look just for comparisons and memories.

I had it on VCR somewhere i will try and find it - the one thing that ruined that game was Sam Kekovich's commentary - indiscriminate kicks and handballs and wrong names etc etc

She was stoked because we taped the replay and you could see her perched on my shoulders in the crowd a couple of times. Edit: Unfortunately I have no idea where the tape is now

I haven't got it, but someone who is with Bigpond (there are still 3 people I think) can get it free from the afl website with their login and WM Recorder.

After seeing the thread, I watched the game last night and interview. What a debut! He was playing for his grandfather who passed away that week I think, and the look of utter exhaustion on his face at the end when he scooped the spilled ball and passed to Scotland who goaled. He was everywhere in that game. I sent a private message to you BM, but haven't heard back. I have the tape in my bag as I type.

Just a question... IIRC, Walker's disposal in his first season was excellent. It seems to have deteriorated since then. Anyone else think the same? And if so...why? Is this an indictment on the coaching staff, or is there some other reason?

Ahhhh Munga........... remember that........? it was like the High School darnce.......when everyone was standing around scared to start darncing..........! then a couple of people go out.........whilst others look at each other thinking.....ooooh.....maybe it's oh kay to go out.......then a couple more join in........and before you know it..........? there's more bad moves being pulled....than Grant Thomas in a cut throat semi final.........! ahhhh the memories.............! kindest regards tommi and ummmmm Siegfied..................? feel good thread mate...................feel good thread..........!

It was the gradual build up of the chant from the crowd wasn't it Tommi: Walker!!! Walker!!! Walker!!! Walker!!! Walker!!! Gaining Crescendo as Bobby Davis used to say. You couldn't help but 'well up'. Gave us all goose bumps. Showed us a glimmer of hope after the crap of 'Black Friday'. I did shed a tear.

Yeah havn't logged on for 24hrs or so DUC. But I replied just then. Rob, I have the game but not the interview, I want to get my hands on it and doctor my version somehow to put the end bit on...just for 'completeness'.
