Glad to see the club making this decision. I'm as keen as anyone on the romance of former players' sons joining the club but I'm glad we're not taking any unnecessary risks due to the emotion of it. I have no idea whether Tomi or Jake will be better than the player we take with our 3rd rounder but every time I think about the father son rule the names Kade Simpson and Cam Hunter spring to mind. |

My gut feeling is we'll try and nab one (or more) with a 4th/5th rounder, or a rookie selection??? |

I tend to agree with Camelboy - given the depth of this year's draft was always going to be an issue with taking either of them. Sheldon's decision makes it easier....don't think I know enough about either to make a truly informed comment but would be sad to see them in another team's colours (yes I do recall Cameron Hunter ![]() |

Agree ...you have to trust the club on this one, they got it right with Cam Hunter....Sydney also have the chance to F/s Williams ...maybe they think he isnt up to it as well. Maybe one of them will be rookied... |

Tommi will be picked up by Richmond, Jake by Sydney. They will not make it to the rookie draft. Think this will prove to be another stuff up. |

I'm willing to bet that they won't be drafted outside of the rookie draft. |

Good news with Sam Sheldon waiting another year. Watch for Demitriou to make changes to the F/S rule when Sam wins the Larke Medal next year!! |

Watch for Demitriou to make changes to the F/S rule when Sam wins the Larke Medal next year!! I think "The Spew" played just on 100 games for North Melbourne. I would expect that he may leave the rule in place just in case any of his future "fertilised turds" are male and are a chance of playing AFL football. ![]() |
