Watch the media closely over the next few days, because this is "Frontline" at it's best... GTV 9 will give Fev a sympathetic spin because he gave them the "EXLUSIVE" interview last night at the airport. In return, GTV 9 gave Fev the ticket to "Europe" to get him away from the other media....er, get him away from Ireland...and protect their EXCLUSIVE position. The ticket has also given them access to Fev's wife. Watch the other media go with a negative spin - not because they hate Fev or hate Carlton or hate Internation Rules...but purely because they missed out on the EXCLUSIVE and are under pressure to cover the story and compete with GTV 9's inside running. (Note interviews with Fev's wife through gaps in the doorway etc) Every other media outlet has nothing to cover. No interviews, no footage etc except general hysteria to show they are where the action is. The reality is no media outside GTV 9 has a clue where Fev actually is!! That's the big reason why this has become such a negative beatup. Eddie wins again... |

The Fev issue was a part of the editorial in todays Advertiser over here. Basically getting stuck into him. I think it is fair to say there are probably greater issues in the world for an editorial. |

It was still very silly of Fev to do what he did but this whole saga has blown out way beyond reasonable proportions. And spew denying any taunts is outrageous. How the @#$%&! would he know, he wasn't with all the players all the time. He obviously forced the players to tow the AFL by denying any slurs were made. Having listened to Matt Campbell's account of a bit of push and shove with some Irish many years ago it is no wonder this has turned out like it has. This barman obviously wants some coin to make the threats of charges disappear. In Campbells case, these blokes turned up the next day in slings and plaster and Matt had no choice but to slip some money to them to avoid it escalating. This guy is doing the same. Punched in the face and not a mark! CCTV footage shows no punch!! Liar!!! 
Unfortunately, Fev is in for a torrid time when he gets back. The coverage of this whole thing is amazing!

Having been "talent" on Channel 7's pretend current affairs programme I can attest to the dishonesty of the show, it's so-called host and its producers. The way in which they and other media organisations are treating this affair smack of their recent journalistic forays into cannibalism and cruise liners - caught out in both cases. Fev may be an idiot but he did not rape anyone, steal money or have a gambling addiction. 7 and the other media outlets obviously find this more important than global warming, racial vilification or the Victorian election. |

Did someone else buy that beer for Fev after Paul claimed he refused to sell Fev any more alcohol? Are the AFL going to name that player and drag his name through the mud after he gave a drunk Fev more grog? 
They were all on the piss when they were representing their country. I don't recall seeing another employee of the Imperial Hotel trying to pry the bottle from Fev's hand as Paul claimed. |

What Paul really said to Fev to set him off was he ran like a girl, he had dreadfull fashion sense and he didn't deserve to win.
