Hopefully that is the end of the saga and he can now move forward.

He looked so sad I felt like crying myself...

You would think the barmans funeral was being held tommorrow the way the media were carrying on.

If you had a son, and he had to commit one of the following, which would you prefer it to be:

(a) punch a bloke in the head in such a manner that the police deem it worthy to take to court.

(b) urinate over a woman's leg in a public place.

(c) after a big night out, abandon your car on the freeway, with your girlfriend left in the passenger seat, and run away from the police.

(d) cheat on your wife by having sex with a woman you and your teammate picked up in some nightclub.

(e) after being on the sauce all day long, put a lippy barman in a headlock, but restrain yourself from actually hitting him.

Fev did wrong, but jeez he's been hung out to dry.

....whilst representing your country overseas.

I agree that if it had happened in Melbourne it wouldn't have been that big a deal, but get the context right.

Nationalism's overrated.

Or push an official offstage whilst accepting a trophy for winning a cricket tournament - in the context of representing your country.

As far as media feeding frenzies go wouldn't be enough to feed a bowl of goldfish.

Have a peek at some of the Indian news sites. Punter has been under the pump immensely since it happened. But the fact that India contributes 70% of revenue to the ICC has to also be weighed up (plus the fact the Indians couldnt win a game of snap at a quadraplegic centre)

The Cricket thing is a bloody joke. So where is their 'indignation' at the snub the West Indies gave one of the dinners?

Indian cricket and its power is a threat to the game as we know it. They will play a race card as soon as it suits and if they have there way, we will be playing one day bloody cricket until the cows come home.

Point I was making was the comparative "local" media frenzy about the Fevola incident and the Cricket Presentation incident.

At the end of the day we have to be thankful of Fevola's profile - as a club its nearly the only bankable asset we have at the moment.

Although if Kouta makes it to the last 3 of "Dancing with the Stars" that would be good too (sorry Synbad :P  ).

We have to manage Fev's profile and bankability well.

And Fev has to realise that with it he will have to cope with the scrutiny that his AFL career is going to have with the likes of Neil Mitchell, Caroline Wilson etc.

Fev should have been wearing the Dan Murphy's shirt if he really wanted to be captain.
