Is he trying to get a payout forced upon him? so as painful as these articles are I have to agree with some of the content. At the very least it keeps the pressure/spotlight on the board, coach and supposed new challengers so that we can get some action/changes. .. then again it is 2:00am in the morning and my lack of sleep is causing me to ramble so what the hell do I know.

Well, even Pagans love children in the media are starting to have a cheap shot or 2. Mind you, if it was anyone else, he'd be known as back to back wooden spoon coach Pagan but Caro still sees him as 2 time premiership coach Pagan. Talk about living in the past. The assumption that Pagan is angling for a payout is nonsense. He made a stupid mistake this week and back pedalled as fast as he could. If he was looking for a payout, he wouldnt have humiliated himself by ringing radio stations to short circuit the damage. In a time where coaches are becoming very meda savvy, unfortunately IMO we have a pot pourri of Uncle Arthur and Bruce Ruxton. It is a great time of year. The cream of the draft from the last couple of years are running around PP and there is a spring in everyones step. But you can only make a turd look like a chocolate cake for a short time. The board can fool the members but the people who have access to the books (AFL and NAB) are starting to circle like vultures. The one thing we have in our favour is the AFL want these clowns out as much as some of us do. |

i actaully thought this article was very good. you cannot argue with the truth. there is another article in the herald sun. states that pavlou wants to come on board and that there are a few others, just waiting on a wealthy businessman to clear up a few issues with his business - after all to make this club a powerhouse again it will take time. people have to realise that these busy business people cant just drop everything and take the reigns at the club. one thing is for sure, something will happen because shit has definetely hit the fan. |

Look its a natural instinct to defend things you love... family.. your work etc... The problem is if you have a brother and he is a junkie... do you continually try to help him hide his problem and pay for his habit or is there a time when you have to get tough??? Well for me that time has come....!!! And unless we all make an effort to learn more about whats going on and be there come election time.. this club will fall over!!! With the on field stuff looking up now is the time to not stuff up what potentially is an exciting time at the club. So get rid of all these no good idiots who cant work together anymore. Sadly, i think Caro has been right on the money with her last couple of articles regarding Carlton. Smorgon, Malouf, Pagan & (regretfully) Sticks just have to go. I cannot see them turning this around. Nobody out there knows what's going on at Carlton.........................And unfortunatly i don't think Carlton knows what's going on at Carlton either! |

Every article in the mainstream media that highlights the gross inadequacies of our inept board is like gold, as far as I'm concerned. The short term loss of face negative articles create is inconsequential compared to the disaster which would befall our club if Smorgon and his brand of Merry Morons continued along their current path for another year or two. I am actually glad Pagan said what he did. He highlighted again how incompetent Smorgon is. It's a backflip from Smorgo's statement that the football department had been severly restricted.and now had full autonomy. Looking at the decision of recruiting Ty, this is obviously cr@p. Pagan had to retract what he said as Smorgo & Co would have put pressure for him to do so. I applaud DP for having the guts to mention this issue. I don't think he looks like a fool for recanting his initial comments. It's obvious why he did. |

we need the everyday member to be informed as much as us internet junkies are. FaFriends who dont read forums but follow the news in the big and little papers think that the club is doing OK becuase of the new recruits etc. It is these people that will still vote for Sticks and whoever he endorses, which is the biggest shame. I also think Pavlou is a great friend of Carlton but probably the dynamics would be wrong. I would still like HM to be involved at board level. |
