http://carltonfc.com.au/default.asp?pg= ... eid=312349 Good to see the club taking some initiative with some of these things. Obviously hoping to boost South Australian members on the back of the drafting of Bryce Gibbs and possibly increase Tasmanian membership using Simon Wiggins. If nothing else, gives supporters in other states the opportunities to meet some of the players at another time other than when we play interstate. |

Don't mind that. The club hasn't done anything proactive lately, if it has to start by taking ideas given to it then I can live with that. Then follow through with ideas of their own. |

I thought the same thing. Would be great to go Australia wide. It has to be a funding issue. |

True, however, the Blues are heading up to NSW for the Community Camps. I would have thought it wouldn't be that hard to arrange a slight detour for a meet n greet/sausage sizzle/fundraiser day..... |

In that case you could probably arrange for 10 of them, 3-4 players at each one in the surrounding areas. |

It's very dependant on what flights the club can get during Virgin Blue's Happy Hour. Great stuff, whether lifted from TC or not, great! If ideas are raised on here, and the club takes them on board, then the site has been vindicated. Now, Santy to Ireland ![]() |

I would have thought it wouldn't be that hard to arrange a slight detour for a meet n greet/sausage sizzle/fundraiser day..... If funds are tight, these are the two places I'd be focussing on. The AFL pay for us to go to NSW, and we already have a vibrant WA Supporters group. So, if it's a fund-allocation thing, then the club has chosen wisely. The only other place I'd consider would be the Gold Coast because we go there this year. But one thing at a time. |
