Received my copy of the AFL Guide to Season 2007 today, and was checking out which players had bulked up, and how much. Makes for some interesting reading...

These figures are from this year's and last year's AFL Guide to Season handbook. No idea how accurate, nor what time of pre-season the weights were measured. But you'd assume they were taken at the same time each year.

Yep, but not going through that process again, took way too long!

Here is a list of those who have changed height since 2006...

Blackwell : 177/178/+1
Hartlett: 195/196/+1
Murphy: 179/180/+1
Saddington: 194/193/-1 :shock:
Thornton: 193/192/-1 :shock:

Not much change anywhere...a couple going the wrong way... :?

For the first time for ages we don't have stick figures playing midfield. Even 80kg for a midfielder is ok. Russell at 188/85kg is a good size - he shouldn't have any problems with the physical side of things now.

Walker at 92kg is something though...

Blackers came to the club at 70kgs so that change is over 3 preseasons, I think Aisake is the same, and JR was drafted at 78kgs

It is a well know medical fact that your weight and HEIGHT can be different morning to night! :wink:

Put it in perperpective. My wife is closing in on 5 months pregnant. Ive put more weight on than her. And my gut is the same size. Maybe Skinny Lappin should be on my diet.......

andrew walker has also grown 1cm upto 190cm.

(but that could also be to do with what time of day he was measured)
